The first clip with her crying is after she won the show and they had her sing the sing. The second clip is the night before she won the show when BOTH contestants sang the song.
I've gone to a rehearsal taping of AI and they do use the rehearsal footage at the end of the show, if you look closely at any of the shows at the end during the recap of the performance along with the phone numbers, the audience are different. to me it's not a big deal cause they have to get that segment in quick and the only way to do that is to show the clips of the rehearsal footage. other reason is for the contestants/camera guys to get familiar with the rundown on the LIVE show.

What happened with this. Is the finalists perform the song that a person wrote for the winner. So she sang the song twice, if you notice the second clip is when they show the number to vote for her. It is public knowledge that for the recap clips they use dress rehersal video. Emotionally there is a big difference between a dress rehersal and the live performance before millions. Season 7, battles of the David, is a great example...12 million more votes in the final for David Cooke. Rigging the show would never lead to the ultimate goal of selling millions of records and creating a superstar...check out Leona Lewis on X Factor, 2006. All the videos are on YouTube. They did the exact same thing with David Archuleta. One of his songs at the very end his voice kind of cracked a little, and then on the recap the crack was completely gone...

I don't see why its wrong, because as you mention in the info bar, they may mess up in the live one, but nail the rehearsal. Well that does not really matter since they play the recaps after the performance, and i am guessing people don't decide who was the best contender off of the 5 second snippets, and the people who do are not the ones passionate enough to vote. if this is a recap from the results show then it doesn't even matter a little bit.

I don't know what the issue is. They use dress rehearsal clips to make the recaps. They ceratinly wouldn't have time to do it from live performaces.

OK here are my theories:
1) a demon possessed her and through the power of Satan forced her to regain her composure.
2) She entered a time/space vortex which allowed parallel universes to intrude on present reality.
3) Idol is a front for the Illuminati and wanted to lull America into a "Jordanesque" trance, subliminally by juxtaposing opposite emotions.

She wasn't much different, she was still teary. But yes, they do a recap that uses different performances. It's quite evident in the Season 5 recap of the top 3; Taylor Hicks makes a strage riff that he didn't make pervious to that. I guess it's the dress rehearsal; the show may be live but they can't prepare a recap in such a short time. So what? It doesn't necessarily mean Idol is dishonest... Paula seeing the future, that does. Taylor being screwed over with his love song week, that was also.

this is common...the producers sometime use the practice clip before the actual real performance as the recap sometimes..it happened in season 4 as well.

It's the dress rehersal clips. If you haven't noticed, the clip is usually always different from the dress rehersal clip. And the audience is their, but the judges are not. The show isn't rigged. How do you think we vote then! SUCH LOSERS!

I don't even vote, or barely watch this show the only times I do watch it is when someone sings funny on there. I like to crack up to the goofy performances. As for this everything on t.v is brainwashing why trust it? This is just their way of trying to get you to vote for who they like.

It is public knowledge that for the recap clips they use dress rehersal video. Emotionally there is a big difference between a dress rehersal and the live performance before millions. Season 7, battles of the David, is a great example...12 million more votes in the final for David Cooke. Rigging the show would never lead to the ultimate goal of selling millions of records and creating a superstar...check out Leona Lewis on X Factor, 2006. All the videos are on YouTube. Now a superstar!

No big conspiracy...it's pretty much known that the dress rehearsals are filmed and used for the recaps...it's done so the editors have plenty of time to pick the "right" couple seconds to show for each contestant. It's a live show, the editors would be scrambling if they had to assemble a video package to air with only minutes to spare (in the case of the final few singers)...this makes their job much easier.

no there is no conspiracy the recap is almost always pre-recorded, the performance is live but the editors dont have enough time cut a piece of everyones live performance and play it as the recap... its not that hard to understand

i don't think they do it with ALL the contestants, just whomever performs last.
I don't think they have time with a live show to rewind tape and edit it in time to show in the recap portion. I've always noticed that the person that performs last usually has a little bit different ending (in their recap) than the live versioin i just saw a minute ago.

i guess everyone isn't remembering the finale very well. there is no conspiracy... the night jordin went against blake, they both sang this song as one of their 3 songs for us to vote on. The next night, when she won, she sang this song again-- breaking up with emotion because she won! that's why you see the call in to vote logo underneath the video where there are no tears. the one with tears were from the finale!

what kinda stupid "conspiracty" is this? there's no serious issue here that needs to be uncovered. Evry1 knew all along that they use rehearsal portions for end of show recaps b/c they don't hav time edit each performance since it's live...whether or not it's fair to good/bad rehearsal/performance contestants is just a general issue, in my opinion, if sum1 does bad, i'll notice, a 5 second recap that seems better won't change my mind...but where'd they get the audience applaud from in recap??

yea this has happened before. once with ace young he was singing at the end he had his arms down-then in the recaps the same part his arms were up. also this same period of top 2 when carrie sang her last song she choked up and sounded kinda bad, and in the recaps it was perfect.

Conspiracy...? Dude, they do a dress rehersal before every live show. When they show the "Montage" at the end and flash the vote numbers, they have to use the footage from the rehersal. If they used the live footage, then they would have about 2 minutes after the last performance to put together and edit an entire montage. It is network TV...they have to use the rehersal footage in order to put the entire show together at the end. There is no conspiracy. This is just the way TV works.

THAT one crossed to the pop stations. Just because YOU don't listen doesn't mean NO ONE does. Jordin has a Top 20 hit, too- "Tattoo". HONESTLY.
