2. In Greek Mythology, a phoenix rises from its ashes, starting a new life.

3. No idea, but Dizzi was never in the Japanese version, so they might have wanted to create less editing issues.

4: They just wanted to use the bit beasts for special attacks.

Kai and Max too. Gah, so many good characters, all (or most) of them had depth to them... not alot of children cartoons have this now-a-days.
