So, we make it clear : This play by Barenboim is not a crap. Don't waste your energy for nothing (here has ' the nothing' a name: PiaNISTII). Ignore it and remove those thing from the pinn wall. And enjoy the music. :-)
Without getting into the whole "who can play better than whom" debate, I think that the thing Barenboim carries to Beethoven is an air of authority and deep knowledge. This is hard for the youngsters out of some music academy, or the Asian technical freaks, to emulate. It takes some years under your belt, so to speak. I'll wager that Barenboim approaches these pieces much differently now than as a teenage whiz-kid in the 1950s.
@PiaNISTII your comment is crap... not saying your opinion is, but its extremely pathetic to give an unjustified opinion/comment... if you think your so amazing, provide us reasons as to why you think its crap. twat -.-
@PiaNISTII this guy is daniel barenboim, regarded by many as the best musician of our age. don't call something as sublime as this "crap" because you're too immature to be able to healthily deal with the fact that there are people out there better than you. either get over it or don't say anything. i would love to see you actually approach this guy in person and tell him that was crap.
@lksong2041 difference between you and me is that my opinion is objective, and is based on the performance above. Youre opinion is based on the subjective view of "many" idiots who think that barenboim is "best musician of our age". And I am truly, enormously happy that there are many, many people better than me, from whome i can learn. Barenboim is not one of them.
@PiaNISTII Hello dear PiaNISTII.After watching the videos of you playing, reading the comments and the replies you've written and then laughing extensively for 30 minutes,I've come to understand that you suffer from superiority complex, which certainly explains your attitude towards all the criticism from other people,as well as your own criticism directed towards great and accomplished pianists. As for your own playing of Bach,I can only say one thing:Bach wasn't a Romanticist.
@JacobRudduck Even though it would have made the sonata quite a bit longer, I really wish Beethoven had left the Andante Favori as the 2nd mvt. This is a beautifully magnificent piece even as it was written and equally beautifully performed her by DB.

1:30 - 2:00 is quite possibly the most beautiful thing Beethoven ever wrote for the piano.
