This was fascinating...something I sort of stumbled onto. It is interesting to note that any martial move or weaponry is interpreted by most of u as either japanese samurai/chinese kungfu stuff. Did u think warriors in other cultures were cutting grass with their weapons? The warrior caste of India, the kshatriyas, precede the japanese Samurai by almost 3000 years if not more. The story elements here are distinctly Indian. I can even tell u where the writers got the inspiration for this episode.

Bravo. Such a marvelous point aditya. Bodhidharma, the monk who brought budhism to southern China, was in fact a reknowned warrior of the kshatriyas caste. He is without a doubt the biggest influence on all of Southern Asias martial arts and this influence extends as far as Japan. This is beautiful in its own light, but to bring it's historical context into view was marvelous. I would say this story definitely attributes its roots to India judging by the wardrobe choices and overall theme.

I think that woman might be his sister irl I read on their website that its 3 siblings that have been studying martial arts for a long time, they grew up in japan and have a eurasian look due to them having a british father and I think japanese mother. These guys are very good at what they do though, im enjoying them more watching for the second time around.
