  • This man was an absolute legend, the greatest of the greatest, sadly now he is no longer with us, but his legacy will live on forever, R.I.P Evel, a true legend.

  • back in the 70s me and my friends would jump ramps on our bikes trying to be like evel knievel. i had one of them hand crank evel motorcycle daredevil toys,

  • we will the miss the greatest dare devil in the world

  • Did you know prior to his death Evel Knievel requested that his casket be launched across the Missouri River before it was put into the ground as a final hurrah but his request was denied by the Montana government.

  • R.I.P, EVEL, When I was a kid I couldnt wait to get my first bike and try to do what you did.

  • evel knievel was my hero, I'm 52 use to jump trash cans on a bicyle, than a 100cc motorcycle.I rode down the street standing up on the seat hand s held out.Trying to be him.

  • disrespectful comments will be removed, i applaud, disrespectful comments should be removed from all videos, youtube should be kept a classy place for people to unite over music and videos, let the haters go some where else!!!! Especially when it comes to someones death, let them rest in peace.

  • It was so cool that we got to see Evel Knievel do his jumps on live T.V. back in the day. But it was sad to see him land the wrong way and get hirt badly but jumping his bikes and rockit but it was something he like to do. And that what made him a great American he had freedom.

  • I wanna Bitch slap the punk in the polarais jacket TAKE YOUR FUCKING HAT OFF !!! IDIOT ! just goes to show up bringing.....

  • I in the past have laughed at his crashes but that really bothered me to see him in that casket like that. R.I.P, EVEL!

  • whats the name of this elvis song??

  • @stewartabesha Elvis Presley - "My Way"

  • @stewartabesha this song is "My Way."

  • I met Evel at a bar one night in Sacramento CA. It was a riot listening to his stories over several drinks. He signed my napkin, saying ride fast.

  • i liked this man since i was a kid i am now 54 and have watched all his jumps, there will never be another evel knievel

  • in my mind he still rides on ......... how can superman die ? .......love ya evel

  • you would have thought that they would have shrink wrapped the casket with red, white and blue stripes like his outfit always had....

  • I had the Snake River Canyon action set by Kenner - he was definitely a hero to me !

  • I used to have an Evil Kneivel lunchbox back in the '70's.

  • legend.

  • SUPERMAN., SPIDERMAN., BATMAN... FIGMENTS OF ONES IMAGINATION., FAKE., FAIL... EVIL KNIEVEL... THE REAL DEAL., HUMAN., STUNT-MAN AND WILD-ASS EXTRAORDINAIRE.. MY SUPER-HERO FOR ALL TIME...

  • hes riden them clouds !!!! He always will be the best !!!!!

  • THE MUTHAFUCKIN' MAN. R.I.P. BIG HOMIE

  • I used to have an Evel Knievel figure and motorcycle stunt cycle that you wind up then released it and it would do stunts then for my 8th birthday my dad bought me an Evel Knievel bmx bike! It was the coolest! He was a big part of my childhood and I didn't even know he died until just now! R.I.P Evel!

  • thank you for posting this well done

  • i cried wen i was i watchin the vidoe where he said he was retitrnig i just saw it ten minutes and he was my dads favorite hero but my favorite hero is travis pastrana but eveil knevial is awesome i hope he is still riding in heaven :D

  • EVEL KNIEVEL was the GREATEST ENTERTAINER! AMERICAN! EVERRR!!! TAKE CARE EVEL!

  • I was a fan then when I was young with his great outfit and motorcycle stunts. It was really good to hear that he surrendered his life to Jesus Christ before he passed away. In heaven he will have a new body that is forever with God. See you there brother. My son Carlos Lenard is also waiting for me there.

  • i thought he was superman when i saw he perform on tv...he will be missed..he was a neat guy to watch..

  • I love that everyone has posted their own personal stories about their unique Evel experiences! I never had the chance to meet Evel himself, but I make it a point to visit his grave as often as possible, & say a few words to him, or maybe pound a shot of Wild Turkey or a can of Olympia in his honor. I'm 28 years old & I wish I had 1/2 the courage & strength that he had! I know that people thought he was an asshole, but he just told it like it was, which you can't find nowadays... LONG LIVE EVEL!

  • Thanks for the upload. I saw him jump in Seattle when I was young and will never forget the event. My son and I also met him a couple years before he passed. Interesting thing, I could tell he didn't care much for us older guys but he laughed when I asked him how his golf game was. But, he really was kind to my young son. You could actually see that he genuinely cared about kids, it was a great memory to take with us. RIP

  • R I P Evel

  • I remember growing up in the 80's when he was a little past his prime he was still the man. We all admired and wanted to be like him. I'd love to see people try his jumps today without all the new technology. Very few people had his heart and courage. rip

  • The best tribute video ever to the best daredevil ever.

    Ride On

  • R.I.P Evel you will be missed im 13 and he is my hero i hope to some day have as much guts as that man did. Hats off to you Mr.Kenievel

  • Sadly some of these "fans" don't even know what it is to respect the dead. TAKE OFF YOUR HAT! My grandfather, from Lewistown Montana, would have knocked me out if I walked into a funeral with my hat on let alone any home! Where the hell has respect and honor for your elder's gone? Rest in peace Evel, my hats off to you! Farewell.

  • @asystolgod I totally agree with your point. In this case, though, I'd bet Evel wouldn't have minded a hat or 2... or if anyone showed up on a bike with a helmet. Superman would be just glad you came to the show...

  • as a kid....i loved him

  • People really should learn when it is appropriate to take a hat off their friggin heads.

  • he really was the king !

  • my hero for years

  • RIP King of the Stuntmen

  • RIP Evel

  • Godspeed Evel. See you on the other side. Rock on! \m/

  • What a fitting song for the send off for such a great man. He will always be pretty high on my list of people and through Christ, we'll get to ride again someday. Thank you -

  • His best jump - Into an amazing Faith in Jesus. Truly blessed by the Holy Spirit - late in life. Watch his testimony on Robert Schuller's Chrystal Cathedral.

  • Evel Knievel was and always will be one of my heroes. A true living superhero, I had the Evel knievel toys as a child and pretended to be him when I'd ride my bicycle. He was simply the best. A legend to us all. It was great being a child of the 70's and growing up the the legendary Evel Knievel. Godspeed to you Evel, you are sadly missed but never forgotten!!!

  • What made Evel so exciting to watch was that his stunts were not a guaranteed success. He pushed it to the edge and didn't always make it.

But it never stopped him. He always pledged to give it another go, and always kept his word.

RIP Evel, And kudos for living an amazing life.

  • Evil was one of my Heros. RIP Evil.

  • Don't be sad for Evil, as he said himself, "I've had the greatest life ever".

  • Evel Knievel was a HUGE part of my childhood. I lived for every jump they showed on WWOS. I had his toys and Evel would be proud of the jumps I made with them. I also emulated him as much as possible with every jump I made on my bike with a wooden ramp and some bricks. He was larger than life and will always be remembered as the original motorcycle stuntman.

  • i was born in 82 and i ve grew up watching superdave as a kid..and watching evel's videos on tape and on tv... great vid...rip

  • Your video is beautifully done, thank you. As a kid growing up in the 70s I can't express how much this man touched our lives, he was a real life Super Hero to us all. Me and my brother had all the Knievel toys back then. Where do the years go? I am truly thankful to have been around then to watch him fly, he's one of many reasons Im damn proud to be American made!

  • he was a tough sob.great guy.

  • i was 6 when my dad took me to see Evel jump 13 buses at wembley stadium and i remember crying my eyes out when he crashed as i thought he was dead i only stopped when he talked to the crowd after the jump to say we were the last people ever to see him jump as he is thorugh he will never jump again and 6-7 months later he jumped 14 buses and i cheered my heart out coz he beat the odds what a guy and miss him loads the hero to all kids of the 70's

    RIP King of the Stuntmen

  • the music went perfect as it showed the pictures go by touching this guys was fearless

  • very nice...loved this man.

  • Respectfully done and well appreciated, this video. RIP, Evel, you've earned it, my friend.

  • a great stuntman/daredevil..... but the guy was a prick. i just watched a show with richard hammond about him and he was rude and very unpleasent. great at entertaining.. shame he was an arsehole

  • @walnutpearl I think you shouldn´t believe these "true story", I have seen a few also. Movies are made to attract the audience and earn profit, and what better way than making a special person seem like an idiot. That sells better.Look up live interviews with him and how he behaved,it won´t be as exciting a a drunk stuntman (portrayed in his movies while he as a stuntman but actually took place after his stunt days were over)cursing everyone out, but it will show who evel knievel really was.

  • @NSantoro704 evel was an idol to me,he lived hard, rode hard and died to young.i liked and apreciate the video of his funeral as i could not attend.thanks!

  • Evel had the balls to do it his way, may not have always been the best way but he never took any crap from anybody, never spent any days toiling away in some cubicle collecting a meager paycheck - RIP Evel

  • @bretoff you said it brother,amen!

  • There was Elvis Presley and then there was Evel Knievel. Two of the Greats Men to walk God Green Earth.Thank you two for all the Great Times

  • Yes, he DID do things his way...God Bless Evel -

  • That was a nice tribute...

  • Evil was a great American Patriot and Ambassador of good will, he told many kids to stay away from drugs and promoted staying in school. He loved America! God bless him!

  • @Rocknranchman and in england we loved him after his jump over here he was my child hood hero the amount of jumps we used to do over here pretending we was him ,a true legend the man might die but his legend lives on .

  • Comment removed

  • One of a kind to say the least! RIP

  • What did Evel die from ? Thanks for sharing his memories.

  • google it....

  • i cant believe he actually died. a true legend

  • thank you for takeing the time to give us a good bye to a hero god belss

    RIP ride free

  • I had no Idea he died. How did he go, bad stunt?

  • rip evel

  • Evil was my hero as a young kid. He was Larger than life.

    RIP EVIL.

  • Thanks for the upload! I'm glad the family allowed you to video.

  • Nice video. I know Evel died born-again. Does anyone know if Robbie has layed his life for Christ?

  • I had three heros in the 70s, Ted Nugent, Tony Alva, and Evel Knevel. Were does the time go?

  • Legend in his time....my 1st childhood idiol.....ride free

  • he was living rockin machine,he was a legend and will live forewer in our harts, croatia bikers love him

  • I'm so glad that this man made peace with the world and the Lord before he passed. The Lord will surely take this man and hold him dearly. He did what he knew and gave a lot to the world through his entertainment. It's truly a shame that the visitation appeared to be empty except for a few people. Sad ending for a man who gave so much of himself to the world. I watched that same thing at my brothers funeral. Rest In Peace Mr. Knievil you earned it. God bless Robbie and keep him safe!

  • that is so sad

  • remove your cap when you go to visitation!!!! RESPECT!!!

  • he was always my ensperation i miss him so much but i heard his son is doing stunts now

  • Brave Brave, Very Very Brave man.

  • that man had bigger balls than any man who ever lived and he was a true entertainer and he was my hero i dont know if i ever would have swung a leg over a bike if not for evel i remeber building jumps in my back yard out of wood planks and cement blocks and jumping my XR 80 pretending i was evel !

  • Evel Knievel is my cousin's step grandfather although i have never met him most of my family is from Butte.

  • i have always lived in Butte and i never met him. my grandparents were good friends with him when they were kids.

  • I met him 3 times. He was always smiling.I will cherish the times we laughed and the picture and hat he signed for me

  • Dont worry about the people who say it was disrespectful to tape the memorial. I appreciate it. Evel was one of a kind. But, it's tough to travel cross country to attend something like that. Again...much appreciation for sharing.

  • Evel spent his whole life in front of the camera. I really don't think he would have wanted it any other way for his grand finale. He loved attention and people. Great man.

  • now there goes a real superhero, such a shame, he went through so much

  • When I heard he passed away , my whole week was ruined ! He was my hero 4 sure.

  • Although I wouldn't have taped his body, I believe the intentions of parkjam were indeed sincere.

  • did richard hammond attend his ceremony?

  • Great video. Thanks for posting. I didn't make it in person, but I was there in spirit. Luckily Robbie's following in his dad's footsteps for the next generation. Robbie's crashes are almost as spectacular as EK's. I mean that as a compliment.

  • evel best man i new for dare devil god bless him and may he ride on in heaven whare he is a legend wharever he is or whare we are god bless.

  • I made this video for the people who could not attend Evel Knievel's funeral, and like you, idolized him. I did this in a TASTEFUL and RESPECTFUL fashion! If you do not appreciate it, feel free to not watch the video...

  • @parkjam2 thank you god bless

  • @parkjam2 PJ, to ANYONE who has any negativity to this video post I say F**K THEM. Do NOT ever second guess your decision to upload this. I was a fan and would have loved to been able to attend. With your help, I feel almost as if I had. I owe you a debt of thanks. Well done, ( OBVIOUSLY ) in good taste,AND with your heart in the right place. Thanks again.

  • @parkjam2 Thank you for the video.

  • @parkjam2 THANK YOU

  • I that Paul SR from OCC there in the white tux?

  • Who remembers the little evel knievel stunt bike toy you could get in the 70`s? Brilliant!

  • he was pretty much an idiot on wheels but i loved the guy

    rip

  • "an idiot"? pal,, your parents are idiots.

  • Evel was the man!

  • Cheers to the coolest man that will ever live.

Evel is responsible for some of the most cherised memories of my childhood.

    Love you man.

  • "Maurico de Maricon"

You soccer ball kicking sissy... He was someone you'll never be - a real man.

It would be a privledge to find you, and punch your lights out, just like Evel would have done if you said it to his face.

Now, entertain us with your response, you little fairy...

  • i met evel knievel in lasvegas back in 1989 i got a hand shake and a autograft picture he was a very nice person but he will always remembered and never forgotten my you rest in piece and my prayers go out to your family.

  • RIP Evel, you will always be the Godfather of bike jumps ! And you always did do it your way !

  • Hard to believe it's been almost a year...

Wearing one of his jackets tonight a having a few in

his memory... Thank you again for sharing this!

  • JohnLombardShow, you are definitely the man! What better way than to enjoy a few in Evel's memory. You should check "Evel Knievel Days" the last week of July in Butte, MT. I promise, you won't be disappointed (and you can wear your jacket and enjoy a few along with a HUGE group of Evel's friends and family). Happy Landings!

  • thanks for posting this man. hate that he's gone but glad I got to see a part of the service.

  • Evil was the greatest. RIP

  • Evel is a true icon. We will all miss you

  • Mr Evel Knievel you were the greatest I love you man

  • Why did he die?

  • Knievel died in Clearwater, Florida on November 30, 2007, aged 69. He had been suffering from diabetes and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis for many years. A longtime friend reported that Knievel had trouble breathing while at his residence in Clearwater, but died before the ambulance could reach the hospital.

  • evel evel you always did your way so mote it be do what tho wilt evel yes

  • Good on ya, mate, much appreciated you putting this up. Thanks.

  • Thanks for the video and sharing!

  • BRUM BRUM BRUM

  • im half expecting evel to come blasting down that red carpet and hit a ramp in his coffin

  • Evel Knievel por los siglos de los siglos

solo uno como el ,le dio sentido al hombre demente e hizo de el peligro su profesion

un guerrero de la vieja escuela.

    Dios te bendiga Evel Knievel

  • Praise to you for this video & praise to Evel for hanging with The Creator before he left us to be with Him. What an American Icon...

  • o my gosh that funeral was so sad evel and my granpa were good friends and i went to the funeral with him. RIP EVEL BUTTE WILL MISS YOU!!!!

  • Thank you for posting this. In the 1970's I had two heroes

who wore white, one was Elvis Presley, the other was this

man. Both were pioneers in what they did, both will never

    be replaced!

  • My Son and I were @ Kings Island tonite, May 24 2008.We witnessed the Greatest Daredevil of all time. KAPTAIN ROBBIE KNIEVEL!!! At least that is what Evel says!Robbie SOARED over 24 Coke Zero Trucks!!!The day @ Kings Island was called, "Like Father Like Son" day @ the park.Robbie dedicated the Jump to his Dad, and said "I'll see ya soon Dad" looking @ the Sky when he spoke of his Father. RIP- Evel Knievel. Way to go ROBBIE!!! I think you made your Father Proud. It was AMAZING!!!

  • Yee slide, it seems like only yesterday he was performing on Wide World of Sports. I was very sad to hear of his passing. He was my childhood hero. RIP Evel.

  • Man...That was cool.

  • It doesn't seem like that long ago I was a kid watching every jump he made on TV, just waiting for the next one - now he's gone, living his last few years as a frail old (relatively, anyway) man. It just goes to show you how quickly time goes by.

  • you may think that was a cheap casket but his family rented the citys entire civic center for his body

    well miss you evel :(

  • USA #1

That was an AWESOME tribute. Thanks.

I'll never forget about Evel Knievel...ever.

  • this is great man.

  • RIP Evel Knieval!
