I don't know why people bash games like these. Simulators aren't just mindless fun like most games these days. They require a bit of intelligence and a lot of patience. Which means when you actually do complete goals, or get kills in simulation games- it's a hell of a lot more rewarding because it's so much more difficult than games like MW2

lol what the heck? crysis is a great game, much more than a graphical demo. it may not the the best game, but if you've ever played it you know why people love it. the suit and weapon mods add depth to the combat, and the wide open levels allow you to play the way you want. you can be an ultra stealthy assassin or be a ridiculously overpowered mega man hitting people with pots and pans and throwing chickens at north koreans. not to mention the editor which is quite a bit like arma 2's.

No matter how much I'd want one, I wouldn't be able to help thinking that Project Natal is around the corner & although unlikely, some folk may allow the device can connect to the PC and work in a similar fashion to the TrackIR.

Well we'll all be seeing it before fall 2010, where PC games would already support some such functions, we'll have to wait for 360 crap to find its feet.

Oh man, TrackIR works all the time!?!? Not just in vehicles?! I think I may get this game now! My current system almost meets the "recommended" but my coming laptop will handle this no problem.

Yea, I didn't get the quad core but that was the only slightly bad part. Plays this with about half on very high and half on normal getting about 25 fps in towns/cities, and 33+ anywhere else -- anything more than that is basically unnecessary. Not too much time to play now as I am shipping out real soon.

As long as you have a fast dual core it won't make a huge difference while gaming. The big downfall of notebooks vs desktops is the graphics cards.

yeah there isnt a laptop even in prototype stage that would even let you open arma.

only way i got my comp working (2.9 GHZ, needs 3GHZ)

was to literally wipe everything off my comp but my 3 fav games.

Did you overclock that system? Cause I've never seen a Quad Core at 3,995 Mhz or 3.99 - 4.0 Ghz. Sorry if I did the conversion wrong.

yep. it is overcloked. On boot screen it shows 4.0ghz, but CPU ID reads id 3995MHZ

Trackir is cool and all but I only see myself using it to fly cause I just double tap alt to look around while infantry or landvehicles, but in flying that's not possible cause you don't have the time

The game just came out and is horribly optimized with forced Bloom, motion blur, and HDR. The maps are fucking huge and you're able to see pretty far. Kind of a no shitter as to why you're getting a lower fps in this game than in Crysis. Just wait a year or so, there will be patches that will increase ingame performance by 30% or so. There's no need to call this game shitty just because you have a low fps.
