This is great! I'm Air Force and am wrapping up Army Combatives Level-2. I searched Air Force Combatives on a whim and found this; I think its great! The AF needs something like this to break away from the powerpoint ranger mentality. EVERYONE should be able to throw down when its needed. Our entire unit (joint Army/Air Force) does Combatives every week and it promotes esprit de corps and makes you accountable to your own physical fitness and ability. Sign me up!
I wish this course was around back in my day. We basically had to teach our selves with the help of NCOs with advanced training. Would have loved something more formal, structured, and most of all well funded.
The individuals in this video were Air Force ROTC Cadets training during their Field Training Encampment during the Summer between their Soph and Junior Years. This video was taken at the 7th hour of their 10 hour training.
This was SOOOO much fun- best training I've ever received in my life. I've literally never been so tired from anything- your body hits the complete exhaustion stage when fighting that muh. I'm glad this is posted- I remember it being close to 100 that day when the camera man was in my face, then i was like... If I get this girl in an arm bar I'll be able to watch it when I'm DONE!
The program is growing slowly, with additional Modules to be built soon. We believe it will be great for the Air Force - Airman Training Airman how to Fight!
Currently this Module (Module 1 - Ground Module) is taught at Officer Training School, ROTC Summer Field Training, and at the Air Force Academy. Module 2 (Stand-up Module) is taught at the Air Force Academy. We just implemented a mix of Module 1 and 2 at the TACP Schoolhouse at Hurlburt, and are currently training TACPs up at Maxwell from 4 bases (Pope, Shaw, etc...).
