If fantastic things happened like they happen in fairy tales, they have probably gone underground because man abandoned that world with the advent of high technology.
Jim Henson is an creative man, he was the puppet master, every movie he made has puppets, then one movie changed that, "Mirror Mask". Now on days, directors fear to make an movie that has an puppet
la mejor banda sonora de todos los tiempos, el trabajo que más me ha influenciado como artista, el cristal oscuro siempre estará en mi cerebro y en mi corazón.
The crazy thing is that such fantasies of dwarves, elves, orcs, hobbits might not be fantasy at all. Many variations of humans have been found ie Neanderthal = Orcs who dwell in caves are more brutish and many more times stronger then humans. Homo floresiensis nicknamed the hobbit for being shorter then a meter have remains dating back a mere 12,000 years ago, so their existence is highly likely to have interacted with early humans. Such fantasy writings may have merely been reporting...
@botchalism Written word doesn't date back more then several thousand years before christ I highly doubt what we see in myth and stories to be anything more then metaphors for humans need to explain the unkown.
@MikeBatman Humans have kept oral history long before the first written word, which was 4000 years ago. Just because it's not written down doesn't invalidate it. Accomplished storytellers could recite entire books worth of stories word for word.
@botchalism Oral word of old I'm afraid was a lot harder to invalidate at the time since often the witnesses of aid mythical creatures were usually alone or expressing a need to impose an ideal on their common man. Most stories and pretty much all those worth remembering were constructed for the purpose of teaching a lesson or common knowledge. Fairy tales such as Red Riding Hood and Hansel and Gretel were for example tales told to children so they wouldn't go into the forest.
@MikeBatman "I'm afraid was a lot harder to invalidate" I think you mean "validate" unless you are agreeing with me. "often the witnesses of aid mythical creatures were usually alone or expressing a need to impose an ideal on their common man" I really don't see what little red riding hood (made in the 17th century) and hansel and gretel (made in the 19th century) have to do with early story telling dating back thousands of years BC.
@botchalism I meant that it was hard to invalidate peoples word back in the ancient time since there was virtually no science fact and people often looked to others for explanations for the unknown and or tales of interest that they often used to give reason to their lives. Such as Little Red Riding Hood and Hansel and Gretel which were stories 'written' by the Brothers Grimm for the purpose of entertaining children and also conveying a message to stay out of the woods/unknown.
@botchalism I know it would be cool to imagine that elves and dwarves like those in fantasy once existed but they are just figments of our imaginations like big eyed aliens probing people all over the mid-western United States. Alien sightings became a real buzz in the 60's with the advent of TV and the Moon landing, people wanted to be famous and TV was sensationalizing everything of the day. The significance of being the witness of the amazing and unknown brings a social prestige.

Technically, "El Cristal Encantado" means "The Enchanted Crystal", but that's close enough.
I love the above picture - it's what I would imagine it would be like between Jen and Kira AFTER the Crystal was healed. So sweet!
