While this was going on in WCW between Hall & Nash in the WWF they were doing the same thing with the Road Warriors where Hawk was showing up to shows drunk and the idea was that Animal was going to replace Hawk with Droz. What was it about this time in wrestling history when they had great tag teams airing dirty laundry on national TV? Of course Vince and Mike Hegstram (Hawk) couldn't stand one another and Vince would've loved to had LOD without Hawk. Was that the case with the Outsiders here?

@hbk2hhh I have never heard that Vince couldn't stand Hawk but there are shoot interviews on Youtube done with Hawk not long before he died where he completely burried Vince in very unflattering ways. I could be wrong but I assume the feeling was mutual. They had heat between one another dating way back to when the Road Warriors in WWF back in the day. Mike Hegstrand was an alpha male kinda guy and was known for confrontations with promoters. Vince is an alpha male who has to have it his way.

I think WWE's JR is far worst as far as ramming things down people's throats. The WCW guys almost had no scripts, while JR had to follow the script, had to sell the storyline, had to praise the good guys(while Lawler was praising the bad guys).

Nash has such a vicious turn on the powerbomb. His jackknife descriptor is such an avid take on this manuever: instead of having the opponent land with the majority of the back and shoulders connecting the mat, Nash causes the recipient to land primarily on the upper back. I believe the Giant was severely injured using this variation and it is easy to see why. Nash pretty much had to be spot on, less the opponent would take an actual bump. Hard to understand why officials let him use this..

Hall sided with Hogan, turning on Nash in a tag match against Sting and the Giant and that's how it all started. This match was essentially declared during the aforementioned turn (Slamboree, May 98) and was built up through a continual feud over the next 5 months.
