David Tennant Titles with Delia Derbyshire Theme

I think Dr Who sounds much better with synthesized themes and music, weird sound effects, electrical waveform sound...

I find all the orchestra stuff so OTT and pretentious, I would LOVE this theme, it beats the orchestra one any day!

That sounds like there's extra reverb on the bass and some parts are missing too. Did you revamp this by sticking together samples? If so, where did you get them? I have googled around for "Delia Derbyshire doctor who theme samples" but haven't found anything.

No this is the genuine theme. As I explained in the description, its a recording of a recording of a radio show which used a vinyl recording of the original tapes of the theme, so it will no doubt have lost some of its depth during one or more of those transitions.

Doctor who was created on a low budget and synthesizers. Now it's probibly created on a high budget and no synthesizers. C'mon BBC, we want synthesized versions of the theme linke the old days >:|

With Steven Moffat taking over the reins of the show, I wonder if that'll mean another change of music in 2010? Maybe you should send him this and say "Look, don't re-record it again just stick with the classic original theme!".

No disrespect to Murray Gold's version of the theme but the original one is far more haunting (I doubt people will get the same feeling from the Gold version 40 years from now as I did hearing the original arrangement just now).

I think the original theme by Delia went better with the original title art. Reason being is that the new one is very dramatic using special effects, the old theme is more sinister and mysterious, not needing to rely on heavy eye candy. All the same thank you for making this as it was interesting to see what it would be like :)
