  • In capitalist america, bank robs you

  • Rachael looks like a guy. :) Great video though.

  • don`t borrow money...

  • is taking a loan good for credit?

  • @briangunn21 Yes if pay on time.

  • i was wondering what all the yay comments were about haha. now i know.. . \mn/ "yaaaaaayy"

  • these are great! Good job dude!

  • Him saying yaaay is awesome

  • good video, but banks make more money by creating it from nothing than the interest they earn, basically they make money that doesn't exist but the government recognizes it as legal, so most of our money comes from created debt

  • I love you'r Yaaaaay =)

  • If you want a website that tells you about easy ways to make money then checkout my channel (its under comments) it won't make you rich overnight but you will start getting 100-750$ per month.

  • If only people would watch this first before the Housing Crash.

  • don't loan from banks, loan from people and kill them after that.

  • lets borrow a loan to buy some facial features and maybe some boobs...

  • Always borrow money from a pessimist.

    He won't expect it back.

  • Just loan from people not banks

  • _m./ yaaay

  • Thanks for postng vids like this, im 14 and I really need to learn about money, and you explained this realy well so I could understand! Thanks!

  • same for me i aslo watched his video on phishing email scams.

  • Very informative, but you probably should have mentioned compound interest.

  • What they don't mention is that loans with longer time frames result in: MORE INTEREST in life of the loan. So you should make sure of two things when you get any fixed-rate loan. 1) That the loan is for as short a time frame as possible. 2) You pay as little interest as possible.

  • Awesome presentation

  • Get rid of usury, problem solved.

  • These are great means for crisping up communication. Is there one on getting a mortgage for new home buyers?

  • OMG thank you soo muchh

  • Thanks Leelefever! I like your videos very much, i learned alot from them.

  • "...and if Rachel had just saved money each month rather than giving it to a bank on a loan she could have saved the money herself instead of paying back 15000 dollars on a 10000 dollar loan."

    Thanks for tuning in kids!

  • @capitalmindz It would have also taken Rachel MUCH longer and the style of music she was producing may have become unwanted. See?

    Thanks for tuning in kids!

  • Man I know all this stuff, and i am 13 (knew it when i was 11 lol). I seriously don't know why I am watching these lol.

  • i am 12 lol i understand this

  • me too! i learned this all at school!

  • me 2 we studied this in math!

  • new secret of all secret the return....no secret...

    now on youtube...

  • Very well done!

  • Very useful videos, I appreciate it.

  • I have Rachels album... it rocks...

  • i thought it was roughly mixed, needed a 15K loan to really make it a polished piece of music

  • This video is great!

If only people would know this before the crisis. :P

  • rachel needs to buy some hair first !

  • @vanpat1987 wigs*

  • I know, thats millions of people worldwide

  • Great advice! I've never had to borrow money, but in the future if I have to, I'll know how...

  • Wow thats wierd.

My names Rachel, I'm a musician.

    Haha.

    Great Advice :]

  • even though this is obvious information, a lot of retarded ppl dont understand it and it creates the economy cluster fuck we're in now.

Buying houses you can't afford, with money u dont have, borrowed from banks that aren't paying attention, is a bad thing.

  • This time not with that wimpy winky of a scarf wiggling in the draft (haha, joke taken from a Baker interview on youtube.

  • So THAT'S how it works...

  • The problem with this video is that makes people believe that the banks actually give real money. That is not true. They really make electronic money out of thin air.

  • thats correct. thats why they need bailouts from the government. its not "real" money being exchanged.

  • You'll be surprised how many people dont know this basic info.

  • am i the only one to notice that the magnifying glass didn't magnify?

  • LOL. I noticed that also!

  • Thats cause it is made from paper. Most paper dont magnify whats behind it

  • The title should be Borrowing Money For Kindergarteners. I find it amazing people get to adulthood without knowing things this basic.

  • I kept waiting for the joke... this isn't funny

  • this series is educational, its not intended to be

  • the federal reserve is a giant scam!

  • The great thing about borrowing tons of money is it makes death a benefit.

  • this is so simple, pleas go take a simple finance class at your local community college if you dont understand this stuff, if you dont understand this, people like you cause a lot of the financial problems for the rest of the country!

  • dude, you just made things simple for me, you should be a teacher or sumthin, thanks bro

  • Is the information in this video so obvious?? I mean it's common sense right?

  • This vid is great. It's simple & easy to understand.

Hopefully people will learn something from it. =]

  • Ha, isn't this video so kiddie? :-)

  • no...

  • all you need is to do is get the same debt card I have.

Its called the Five-seveN. everytime you use it anyone will want to loan you money at 0% interest.

I can assure you that this is no scam...but I will warn you that if you borrow money from these strange buildings that have tellers and lines, the money will become stained with some sort of dye.

  • Thank-you Commoncraft

  • This video should be mandatory for all people to watch every morning before they are allowed to leave their home (providing they have one)!

  • Yea, it's freaking nuts man. It never ceases to amaze me how some people don't understand loans.

If there's one thing I hate losing, it's money. So you bet your butt I'm going to read into things if I get one.

  • 3:07 lol

  • blah, it's econ class.

but i understand it now. :D

  • This should be illegal as this is what enslaves the western world!!!!

  • I'm afraid i can't agree with you on this. loaning is a necessary means for investment to be possible. the saving/loaning system of a capitalist economy is based on this system, and although capitalism is hardly an ideal system, i know no better alternative.

  • this way of loaning is prohibited in Islam

it sucks the money from the poor and give it to the rich.

  • It sucks to have to rent all of your living live. And, although Islamic rates don't ask for intrest, they DO charge for inflation, which -often- is comparable...

  • yes, loaning is indeed prohibited by the islam, but it is de facto not illegal in most arab countries that claim to have an islamic constituency.

  • no loaning isn't prohibited by islam, interest is

  • Interests means more debts, i dont wanne make some profit because i gave money to someone who really needed !

This principle is one of the guilty ones who are responsible for the current recession !

  • Whoa what a video I cannot take my eyes off the screen! haha this is very interesting stuff to know about.

  • If you need a video to explain this you should not be borrowing money.

  • I am pretty sure its unlawful under Jewish law too. If I remember correctly from reading my Torah.

  • I mean, this is all pretty obvious

  • unrelated comment is unrelated.

  • I never get loans for anything. I pay cash. If I don't have the cash I wait until I do. If I don't want to wait until I have the cash, then it's probably too expensive. The only exception was my house for about 6 years, but that's taken care of too. I had saved for 15 years prior.

  • WE NEED MORE DILDOS

  • this is a reallyyyyyyyyyyy good video! THANKS!

i hope u make more videos about banking!

  • funny~LOL

  • Excellent video. Well put.

  • Was her album any good?

No offence but if you didn't know all this simple knowledge already your pretty thick =\

  • 3.07 made me lol.

  • hahaha

  • go to my profile and look at the video for easier loan help

  • "YAAAAY"

  • Lol, "Yay!"

But seriously, this is a really cool video. I like the paper cut-outs. And it's easy to understand, too. This is what they should teach us in high school, how to be responsible financially.

  • if only most americans knew this we would not be in this mess Stupid people!!

  • How many of u are taking Economics class?

  • Plain English ftw

  • Getting a loan without understanding the terms is half the fun! That way it seems like free money and you don't have to worry about paying it back until you're on the streets.

  • Sounds just like my Aunt.

  • That was a reply to "samiiowns"' "hair" comment.

  • LOVE commencraft show :P

  • OMG I love Plain English

  • vaaggie, ever heard of predatory lending?

What is worse? Living off poor people's interest payments, or living on the street?

  • LOL he should have put this out about 3 years ago before people got outta control with mortgages

  • These are wonderful educational videos.

  • your drawings are so neat and everything you explain is so easy to understand. keep up the good work =D

  • Yay!!! Good work

  • rachel should spend some of that money on some hair.

  • LOLQuake!!!

  • That was my money they loaned to Rachael, I only got 20$ in interest from the bank but they got 600$ of interest from Rachael.

  • love how you do your videos hope you do more

  • I was kind of disappointed that you didn't mention that paying off a loan over a longer period can make you pay more overall, because of the interest. It's always best to pay off as much as you can every month, so you're not just paying the interest and can actually pay off the principal.

  • Please consider the alternative to getting a loan... Saving up the $10,000. It saves hundreds of dollars in interest AND if anything bad happens you don't get stuck (and you have cash to deal with it).

If you have to borrow, use peer to peer lending instead of a bank or credit union because they use fractional reserve banking rules. The act of taking out a loan under our financial system actually creates money out of thin air and increases the "money supply." Strange, but true.

  • When he said "Lee Lefever" i thought it was "Leala Fever" and i was like WTF IS THAT VOICE!?!??!

hahaha never seen that last name

or a "lee le****" at that xD

  • It makes so much sense now!

  • Awesome! Keep doin what you do, it makes things clearer!!

  • use full and simple, like it always should be

  • Ask MR Rothschild he should know all about this

  • The real joke is how many people don't seem to know all this...

  • Fantastic video. I love the format and accessibly-informative videos :)

  • great video. Not sure why all adults do not know this stuff though.

  • Really great!

  • I finally found out what APR stands for, and that interest rates can change! : )

    thanks lee.

  • Yaaayy xD Good Job!

  • Awesome.

  • its a good vid

  • jaaay! \...,

  • thanks man. never knew that some loans have non-fix interest rates.
