this is my favorite Howe composition, by far, every note is pure unadulterated genius, I fail to see why this cat isn't making shit tons of cash and living in a mansion somewhere surrounded by loving groupies. his kind of musicianship should be celebrated, not poo-poo'd by the media as "obscure" or "technical". this is human expression, in its highest form. poetry without words. love without pain. worship with religion. divinity without arrogance.

@SirThomaas I've pondered on this very problem about Greg's relative obscurity. But the qualities you mention go against him. To be popular or more well known, you need a good dose of the opposite qualities> love WITH pain, worship WITH insanity of religious hate, divinity WITH arrogance. The guy is just too nice. There is no aggression, not a malicious bone in his body or fingertips to get him to a Hendrix or Vai fame. Satch has the same problem but comps with darkness of blues.
