To do it in the dish just twist the screwdriver slightly to pry the edge like you did, perhaps not even that hard, and while it is pried up grab the radio with your other hand and pull out while pushing up and down and side to side. You might have to be a little rough with it with the pulling and up and down motion but you can do it. Also make sure you have slack in the CAT5 shoved in the tube when installing, no slack could make it hard to pull out later.
You can see how much your screwdriver blade already creased the plastic on a new unit. Go back to service an installed unit in the middle of winter after it has been out in a hot, sunny summer. I bet then if you stress it that much, the plastic will snap right off. ;)
