I got the G2X also and I think because of the android version is the reason why the camera menu doesn't look like that cuz my camera menu is completely different also but I have the gingerbread android version 2.3 and I never updated my phone at all that's how it came in 2.3 android version

@idknuttin well, if you buy this phone with a new two year contract for $99.99 then you are required to have a data plan of atleast ten to fifteen dollars a month, however if you buy the phone at full retail off contract for $399.99 then you dont have to add a data plan at all or texting or minutes, you can do whatever you want with the phone and make your own cell phone plan with t-mobile, and yes you can use this phone on wifi to browse the internet and watch videos and such.

I would go with LG Optimus Black, if you don't care about HD games that are coming out, most games will play fine even then and if you can get the phone cheaper as this one has no known problems. If you are looking for the fastest and don't mine the $500 tag and can wait for the update, then the G2x it beat out all dual-core phone as the hardware is top-notch. Etheir way they use the same audio chip but the Optimus black has FM radio. So really depends on features you need the most.

@RetroPCDOS I'm gonna wait for the new G2X, because next to the iphone, this is the hottest looking phone out there. I think it'll be worth the wait. I just hope it won't disappoint. I couldn't care less about fm radio, but sound quality has to be good. And I don't play games at all but I want good screen quality.

Buy the G2x the new revised one fixed the reboot problems plus has overall better hardware the the HTC Sensation. Better GPU 8 CORE ULP GeForce GPU, enhanced 3D graphics, better over audio then the Sensation, uses the woftson DAC with hardware EQ. Plus a much better camera then any smartphone on the market today. The only good thing about the HTC sensation is the faster processer, but cheap out on everything else.

Or wait for the new Samsung galaxy S2 that will be coming out.

You can upgrade the current 2.2 G2X to Gingerbread, the update when it out. I had alot of problems with this phone at first, but did turn out to be software problems, the screen bleeding issue is a hardware flaw, reason why I had it replaced. LG fixed the problem, not sure what other changes they made to this model, as it's built the same, with the same specs

But for $199 that's cheap, could be a fake or have other problems, this phone cost $500 bucks, you can find use for $400.

I'm actually looking at LG Optimus Black as well. Optimus or G2X? Forget SGS2. Not that I have any problems with samsung because i've only had samsung phones up to this point.

Depends really on what you are using the phone for, but do know what you mean, I hate the plasticky feel. Optimus 3D which not to sure about, as it didn't come out yet. But from specs, the G2x will take it due to Optimus 3D uses the dated PowerVR SGX540 GPU, which is the powerful in the single core phones at the time, plus the camera shoot only 1080p 24fps not 30 fps, your video will be choppy. But does have two 5mp cameras for 3D, but could careless about 3D.

@montezbrown It depends. I'm a QWERTY person and I'm still on the G2, but I'm liking it's successor. I'll just see the user reviews on this. Since the G2X just came out, there's no long use reviews on it yet. I've bought too many phones and didn't like them 2 months later. LoL!!

@Indexlove45 Tmo and AT&T are GSM carriers. That means they have to have a SIM card in order to work. At 2:19, you see that huge white-card looking thing? That's the SIM card. Verizon and Sprint don't use SIM cards since they are CDMA carriers. Probably raises another question, and it's way easier to change phones on a GSM carrier, and even go international, simply by just changing the SIM card.

I have no idea what you mean by "most on Tmo" since every Tmo phone has to have a SIM card to work.
