@ausar02 That was Bret Hart's fault in my opinion. They built up Razor very well and he got a championship match at the Royal Rumble prior to WM 9.
The match sucked and Bret buried Scott Hall in that match...at least to me he did. From that point forward, he was never viewed as a legitimate threat to the world title.
Scott Hall had me so convinced then that he was Cuban, although I had seen him wrestle once before he was "The Bad Guy" and didn't realize it.In fact,it was when him & Curt Hennig(R.I.P.) were AWA Tag Team Champions.
I liked SCOTT HALL when he was "RAZON RAMON"! It made him a cool character, but he was a very good WWF/WWE superstar than when he was in WCW & now in TNA!
people say warrior is crazy? what about ric flair, couldnt understand what he was saying half time either, i had to rewind the beginning ten times because he has so much testosterone going through him he barely speak straight LOL. they were both great though
The "WWE" MUST counter-sue the World Wildlife Federation and get their WWF name back. The WWE thing just doesn't cut it and SUCKS! Let the other guys call themselves the World Wildlife Exploratory of something.
@Soulblackman Their "suckage" has nothing to do with the name, but with the product itself. They could still be WWF and the product would be the same.
@Soulblackman I dont care if you agree or not. WWE is the same company as WWF, they were just forced to change their name. Even without the name change, Vince would still have changed the product with the times. The name change has nothing to do with the product. And its ironic how you are comparing WWE in 92 to WWE now as being different when it was the same (new stars, silly gimmicks, very few good workers). The product was only mature from 96 to 2004.
@Soulblackman Again, the name change has nothing to do with the orientation of the product. The name change was imposed to the WWE. Hence why everything from back in the day is refered as WWE as well. ITS THE SAME COMPANY. Same OWNER. If it was still called WWF, Vince would have had the same problems, guys leaving, new stars, pg rating due to turning the show to something kids would view to rejuvenate its fanbase etc. Its a cycle. In a couple years he will go pg14 again, and when needed go pg
@Soulblackman an opinion that does not make sense. Its the exact same as me the following: If you change your name, the outcome of your body is not the same as you would be if you hadnt change the name. Tell me where does a name change, changes everything in a company. The name is not the product. The product does not revolve around the name it has. Again, if they never had changed the name, the product and everything would have been the same as it was
@ravelicon I made a few comments on the topic, but did NOT expect to keep on the same topic about WWE vs. WWF. I think our points were made, and I simply am NOT going to continue on the same, about WRASSLING!
@Soulblackman -The WWE has always maintained the rights to use the "WWF" and "World Wrestling Federation" trademarks. Vincent K. McMahon also owns several other trademarks and can use them, or not use them, as he damn well pleases.
I like how when Razor went to WCW he suddenly wasn't Cuban anymore. And he sure looked taller in his WWF days, obviously because in WCW he always hung out with Big Daddy Cool.
you don't see interviews like this anymore!! this is old school at its best. not like today. Interviews are garbage now,, you have goofballs like todd grisham who ask the same old question: "So what are your thoughts" what the hell is that???? We need mean gene orklend back!!!1
then a week later Mr Perfect is Macho's partner against Flair and Razor....remember when WWF(WWE)'s swerves came out of nowhere and noone saw them coming? lol
Mr.Perfect's sudden babyface turn & teaming up with the Macho Man never really was logical to me because here he is just 2 days before and very much so in cahoots with Flair & Ramon, but then 2 days later he's spilling water on Bobby Heenan's head during an episode of Prime TIme Wrestling and claiming all of a sudden that he taught both Ric FLair 7 Razor Ramon everything they knew about being dirty and sneaky. If anything,Ric Flair taught Curt Hennig.
I said it back then..and I STILL say it to this day....I wish like CRAZY I could have seen an Ultimate Warrior/Razor Ramon feud! Warrior was on his way out the WWE again, JUST as Razor arrived a few months earlier. That would have been THE coolest feud to me yet, since both guys have totally different characters, styles, wrestling, etc.
He was cleanly pinned by Savage, Bret Hart, and Mr. Perfect within the space of 10 months. He also was about to lose to the Undertaker, but there was outside interference.
So I agree, Flair was not a top-tier Wrestler, winning his titles by cheating.
... Hall drawling his way through that promo killed my fire. =/
