between times 0:17 and 0:20 seconds. that little riff in the beginning of the song isnt even realy played on guitar. its all bass and then u have hammett and hetfield in the backround jamming out

Remember, this is guitar hero. The opening part to Through the fire and flames is a keyboard but they still make you play it anyways.

The intro to Through the Fire and Flames is not a keyboard, it's a spanish guitar.

very simple: ive watched many live performances of this song. if you watch some of cliff's solos, who created the intro for this song, you'll notice he uses high pitch notes mainly.

the effects he chooses for the intro make his bass sound like a guitar to most people, but if you're studying bass and know its various effects, you can easily notice it's a bass in the intro.

an addition to MUKGS comment: i play bass, i used to think it ws guitar till i started learning bass. it was cliff using overdrive nd a wah wah pedal. its the main reason he is famous apart from metallica and his crazy solos

i know you didnt make it, but every video i see has the guitar playing the intro. in GH you have the option to play the bass, so the bass should play it.
