Fuck ITV4 for not making their BTCC broadcasts available outside the UK! I love WTCC and as I've heard and read, the British championship is about 200 times better than that, but of course, something must prevent me from enjoying some real touring car action... so really, go to hell ITV4... (Or, what's better, some other, more widely available channels should also brodcast BTCC...)

Yes, and your Golf diesel will do a higher top speed than a Formula Ford as well, but a Formula Ford would leave a Veyron for dead round a race track. Racing cars are not about top speed, they're about cornering.

In the Super Touring days (95-00) they could, if geared to do so, about 165mph with 330bhp and 975kg.

These days (Super 2000) the cars are not as powerful, about 280bhp, but they're not held back by aerodynamic drag the same as the ST cars were, maybe about 150 top whack.

Race cars are rarely geared for top speed though.
