Margaret Hamilton was actually burned by the flames one time when she was leaving Munchkin Land. (You know how she sort of exploded whenever she left a scene?) So her face was burned and they had to wipe the makeup off, which had copper in it, so that's probably what Idina was talking about - it severely hurt her face. Anyway, love this video, love Idina, and have totally peed my pants when something funny happens on/back stage :)

@doublekdance The role was originally much bigger. If you watch the deleted scenes on the dvd almost all of them include her. And I just found out a couple days ago that Stephen Schwartz (who did the music for Enchanted) actually wrote Ever Ever After specifically for Idina to sing at the end of the movie. It was Disney that decided to go with more of a pop artist. Grr. I have no idea why people seem so reluctant to let her do her thing. Tony anyone? And clearly she has an established fan base.

Standbys aren't in full costume waiting... They have to be at least 5 minutes from the theatre at al times.  If something happens mid-show, they are called in. If the principle knows ahead of time they will be out, the understudy comes in. =)
