Not always. Most warriors didnt have a clue on how to fight a mage. Pre 2.0 patch a good warrior could take on any mage no matter the spec ( look at laintime's vids). However the warrior must get the charge off, its almost imperative. How to counter the CS tactic is to mount up and dismount charge, the mage won't be able to CS the warrior in time or at least there will be a trade.

This frost mage is doing things by the book. Classic frostbolt kiting, by using the very edge of the sight arc, so he can side-run, rather than walk backwards. Also, he's not like some dumb mages who happily blink before intercept comes in.

Considering that's a lvl52 vs 60s, without half the tricks TBC and WOTLK mages can pull out, I'd say this guy did well. And yes, you don't get SHIELD REFLECT till like, lvl66 or so. Ciao.
