i haven't really remembered Aaliyah like i used to, but as i remember for how much she has worked hard as a great singer, i want to listen to the songs that she has sung and have my mind go back and feel that great admiration for her and her music. That is the reason why i think she is rightfully the "Princess of R&B"
It's sad to say that, Aaliyah never had her shine. The biggest thing to ever happen to her, was her death. No one barely knew who she was until she died. They wasn't really promoting her, like how they promote Beyonce, when Aaliyah's music is off the charts better than Beyonce. They never really awarded Aaliyah that well, and made her look like a underdog, and that she was not. I started liking Aaliyah the day she died, and was thrilled when her video came out, More than a woman. Love Aaliyah.!

I think Aaliyah is actually prettiest in this video, those close-ups of her during the second half of the video.... literally some of the most perfect bone structure I have ever seen! One of the prettiest recording artists ever.

I think Missy and Timbaland should make a series of remix albums of Aaliyah's songs. Also, she recorded 58 unreleased songs for One In A Million alone, so why have they been unreleased for the most part all these years? It's not like that now because records dont sale anymore.. SEX SALES so all the songs now are about "getting some" or getting "fucked up". And the female artist are all just attention seeking hoes who will strip down and do anything to be on camera and get a man's attention.. Aaliyah wasn't about that.

What I don't get is why do people get on music artists about being sexy so much when actresses, models, etc..all do it. I never hear people really tell Angelina Jolie to stop being sexy. Aaliyah would be sexy as well. She would wear bra tops and she did a lot of sexy dancing like in Rock the Boat. Her lyrics could be sexually explicit, too.
