The Zune HD is not an ipod touch sorry. I doubt they will put flash on it but it's possible.

Accept it for what it IS now not for what it is NOT. I would suggest going with another device that better suits your needs

The web browser is terribly slow. Really hope they fix it. It makes browsing the internet seem like more of a chore then a smooth experience. Also the keyboard is awfully inaccurate compared to the iPod touch.

Microsoft will be giving the zune HD flash support in the early months of 2010. This is not completely confirmed but they have been working with Adobe this year and are woking something out.

I don't know if it will come pre-installed. When you first connect via Wifi, usually a message comes on the screen telling you there is new firmware and it will install it for you.

You can do it manually by going into settings and clicking on check for updates. Also in the Zune software there is a section in settings I believe for updating as well.

I have yet to see any video site that works with the zune browser. They mainly use flash. If they use quicktime, I think it is possible to see the video. I honestly don't know to be honest.

It is doubtful until Microsoft has a firmware upgrade.

Please watch my review of Zune HD in which I do talk about the ipod touch as well. If you are into music FIRST, want a mp3 player and want acess to loads of music then consider the Zune HD. If you aren't really that concerned with with Apps/Games, want to look at movies on a gorgeous screen go with the Zune. The Zune has a music subscription service the itouch doesn't.

Do you have an ipod touch or you never had one before? If you really want the apps, watching youtube etc, you might just want to go with an ipod touch. If you don't mind waiting and could be awhile, then get a Zune HD. Don't be disappointed though if you have to wait awhile for apps

I would suggest looking at the videos of the ipod touch 32/64gb 3g. Also look at the apps/games that are available for the itouch and if that really doesn't appeal to you like the music does as a priority, then I would recommend the Zune HD :)

I recorded it on my Kodak Zi8 HD camcorder at 720 p resolution and simply used the Arcsoft media impressions software that comes with it to upload it. Very simple and fast :)

The Zune Team also said more is coming within the next two months, so perhaps a Flash add-in will be implemented.

Microsoft really can't ignore this; Tegra is fully capable of Flash and Flash will open up so many media options, it would truly make it better than the iPod Touch.

My pleasure. I did have an ipod touch 3g, the Safari remains the best browser BUT the Zune HD updated browser is a close second. Loading speed is very largely dependent of course on how fast your Wifi Connection is but for me personally, I think my Zune HD loads pages faster. It's in general imho, a very efficient browser, fast loading times compared to the ipod touch.

I don't compare the two because that's apples and oranges. For apps, the itouch can't currently be beat but for music, the Zune HD imho is far far ahead. Both are great devices and I'm in love with my Zune HD lol
