Michael, you have nailed it. Our Church is certainly under fire from an Evil that is stronger than many will admit. Prayer is needed to plead for help from God. I have seen this evil first hand beginning in my Jesuit HS and then in the Catholic University. There were many good Catholics teaching and in administration but eventually they were cowed or replaced by a strong humanist trend. Then, democrat politicians sought to undermine and misuse these schools.

Weve had multiple bishops and two cardinals reproach Notre Dames decision to invite pro-abortion President Obama. Now we have an esteemed professor requesting President Fr. Jenkins resign his position as president of Notre Dame for inviting President Obama and creating this scandal

My understanding is that this invite is a open invitation to the office of the President. It does not have to be a iron clad rule. They are wrong if they say it does. Don't let no man fool you including "the powers that be" at Notre Dame. With all due respect.

Thanks, Michael V for calling out this injustice to the faith. Our bishop, John D'Arcy, whose diocese covers all of Northeast Indiana and includes Notre Dame, has spoken out against this and will not be attending the graduation ceremony. We, in the Diocese of Ft. Wayne-South Bend are blessed to have this holy and outspoken man as our bishop. I've met him a couple of times, he's wonderful. This is not the first time he's been in conflict with Notre Dame.
