Cool video, thanks. Can you please tell me in general who those people are, where they live (or how they travel) and how they survive. Because I want to go to traveling around, and hopefully run into scenes such as this, but I am worried about how I would fare without my goody-two-shoes monthly income. Thanks so much, take care!

Drinking, smoking or consuming Bhang/Ganja (Marijuana/Cannabis in English) is Legal in India but you can not export or trade it. Its widely available free of cost almost all over the north India along the roads or in the mountains in the plant form. You can pluck it & use it but not trade it. It has many uses in Ayurvedic medicine.

Its in Hindu culture & hence cannot be banned as more than 80% of the population in India is Hindu who drink it on the day of Shivratri & Holi.

Cool, it is nice to see Takashi`s place, Rasta cafe, 30 minutes from old manali, well don`t like it don`t criticize it. I know there are people out there who does not like to see happy people dancing and having fun in some paradisiac place, himalayas open wide right in front of these people, beautiful sacred place.

Yep, used to live there for many years till 73 and it was a much more interesting crowd. BTW the villagers have a pretty good music and drums that do not require to suck whole generators. I like all music and trance but... I find it so misplaced in this heavenly place.
