  • So soulful-the Spinners should be proud of this most excellent cover of their classic song. Keep playing it over and over listening for each nuance. Thanks for sharing

  • When I went and saw the our kind of soul tour I couldn't sit still. The whole arena was dancing. Thanks for bringing back the memory. They did such a great job with this and all the songs on that CD.

  • they have probably done this song 100s of times, but this one is spot on!

  • I was surprised at good this is even after knowing how great the spinners did it.

  • These guys are still the best around, really still at the top of their talent. Thanks for the clip.

  • oh to have been front row center for that concert would have been spectacular..

  • Blue-eyed soul at it's very best.

  • People they wrote this song, there's a dvd with them singing the famous songs they wrote. my dad has it and it great. I'm 24 and proud to say im a old school kid.

  • Daryl - has it all together! John - wow! Charlie - talent! And T-bone - Sadly missed! This song is all that :)

  • Took a while to dry my tears. Beautiful track. Thank you.

  • Man this is a great cover of the Spinners CLASSIC!! I love Darryl Hall and John Oates

  • one of the most gifed soul singers of our time.............ladies and gentlemen......daryl hall

  • they're killing me ! love em for ages ...

  • Pure Soul! without qualifications. Literally sends shivers up my spine.

  • Mr. Oates, I both fear and respect your mustache. Where is it?

  • @timeireles Daryl's got it, now!

  • Daryl is part of The philly sound

    he was singing background on

some cuts with kenny gamble back in the days

not to mention that he from philly

    nothin new for him

    he part of it.

  • Blue-eyed soul - love it!

  • Rock and Soul Baby Love Them!!!!!!!!

  • Does anyone know what live concert this is?

  • @footballref4 - I think this was done filmed for Bravo... I think the DVD associated with the concert is called Our Kind of Soul (Live)... circa 2005 I think.

  • i love the spinners but these two nailed it. love them both and wish them so much luck in their future tasks in life

  • darly hall still has the same amazing voice that he did in the 80's. he gets better with age.

  • Well, I am a huge Spinners fan and I think that gorgeous thick soul sound is hard to cover, but Hall & Oates nailed it. Hard to believe I have been listening to these two for more than 30 years. and they still blow me away. amazing.

  • great re-do..and a bitchin` sax

  • dedicate to you dear

  • Wow, these guys just keep getting better -- keep up the soul!!!! We will miss T-bone...

  • They can do any song, SIMPLY THE BEST.

  • anyone know where this was. what it was from, when, etc?

  • @BiBo24 dont know, but do you know that this is a cover song?

  • @BiBo24 dont know, but do you know that this is a cover song? I was at a club and the band that was there played this song, and I had a chance to talk to the singer, and to much of my surprise, he told me that the song belonged to the Spinners! I love Hall and Oates but I felt I was cheated.

  • @Holiwuudh Hell yea, I knew it was a cover, this is one of my all time favorite songs. I've always loved the Spinners, they had a number of great songs. But I do love Hall and Oates cover versions. I assume you know about "LivefromdarylshouseDOTcom"? If not, you should check it out, tons of great performances!

  • it is ok to get out of your seats and move...just in case you need permission next time...wink!

  • We miss you T-bone...

  • Love this video!! HAll & Oats remake of the spinners song is awesome!

  • When I first heard this H & O salute to Soul I thought that the Spinners had redone this song. Excellant cover from the boys of blue eyed soul. Check out H & O Melody for a Memory, in my opinion the best combination of layered vocals and instrumentals ever. Kudos youtubers. Keep the music alive.

  • Que buena interpretación de Hall & Oates, me acuerdo cuando tenía 10 años y escuchaba esta canción por THE SPINNERS.-

  • great version of this song i seen hall and oates in the early 80s they were good .

  • I know huh.. amazing...

  • that's why you're both legends!

  • Great cover of a moving song-thanks Hall and Oates

  • T bone... the more I see you and hear you play.. the more I fall in love with you... call me...

  • I love it..

  • @elsoda You obviously don't know who Hall and Oates are. They have numerous classics themselves. And this is a pretty darn good version. Better than the Spinners are doing these days (check out the David Letterman video of them).

  • listen, i saw hall and oates in concert back in 1986 when i was 10 or so years old. THEY DO HAVE HITS AND THEY ARE VERY GOOD HITS....but i am fucking sorry..this cover is garbage. and yes, i saw david lettermans' the spinners show and yes, they are old and didnt sound good..BUT STILL....

  • awesome job.....daryl and john

  • They are getting better as they grow older! Awesome rendition of a Spinners original.

Awesome & super fantabulous! Great talent at its best! And tindi nyo mga pre!

  • These guys are just too bad assed! My band covers this song, and to see this....I am indeed humbled. :)

  • Once again Daryl and John you killed it. Soul, Soul and more Soul. Daryl, good luck on the great LFDH. Awesome! Patti

  • Best arrangement I have heard yet. Great soulful interpretation.

  • Nice addition of the sax solo versus the album version. Both are great. H2O one of the best!

  • Sax is awesome, Daryl still has it at 60+. Keep on rockin.

  • This is a killer cover!!!! This band is tight, and Daryl's vocals, as always, are superb. Thanks for the share!

  • Class version. If someone can't see that - they should grow up. Elsoda - quality comments - NOT. Your grammar is the same as your comments.

  • Great vid!! Thank you for posting!!!

  • @BIGBUCK20 What I love is that they do great covers as well as their own music.. And its refreshing to hear them do other music. Great musicians.. For them to appreciate other great musicians and their talent.. Stand up kinda guys.. They rock.
