funny how cod fishermen complain about price when they use pitchforks to unload it, that obviously lowers the quality and total amount of meat you can get from the fish, what a waste.

I hear you.  He told me he quit before I started smoking and again when I finally quit in 2000. Too bad your Dad smokes too but I hope his daughters see the idioticy of the addiction, hopefully :)

Nobody cares about the fisheries or fishermen in eastern Canada and fish science here is still in the stone age. Almost everybody here believes that seals are bad and trawling is helping the ocean!

I can not believe that some people still use pitch forks to work with fish. In Newfoundland that practice has been given up for many years, some say the quality of the fish is considerably reduce by such practices. i was surprised to see that in some places they are still allowed to do it.

it reduces the quality by putting blood marks on the fillets, needing to be cut out, those fillets can't be sold to restaurants anymore since it doesn't look right to have a hole in the middle of the fish, so it's sold for less to fish stick factories and the fishermen complain that the price is lower, no wonder.
