Add to that the lowest ice minimum was 2007 (the picture gore used) but the minimum is now 500,000 kms greater than in 2007!!! Thats 500,000 square km's MORE ice. And GROWING. The 2007 date is interesting as well since the warmest year on record was 1998 according to the data that the ipcc used. Therefore the lowest ice minimum should have been 1998, not 2007. And in fact in 1998, the ice minimum was bearly 300,000 km less than 1979!!!

on AVERAGE and also depending on what time period you look at the antarctic is only increasing at a rate of .8% per decade while the arctic is decreasing at a rate of 2.5 % or more. Also how do you explain the current pollution haze over the arctic which is speeding up the melting of the ice? human's couldn't have possibly caused that.
So even if there's a small 'net change' the wildlife in the arctic suffers.
You know what? I care more about the economic well being of the people than arctic creatures that aren't threatened at all. (hint, it was warmer during the midevil warm period yet magicaly those creatures survived)

The highest ice minimum was 1981 and the lowest ice maximum was 2007. 2007, that means the ice maximums have increased as well!!! by 750,000 km's!!!

Not I picked the last 2 years which should have shown ice melting if your theory is right. It didn't. Direct observation proves your theory wrong.
