  • can i please use this awesome effect in a couple of my vids if i credit you?

  • @MegaAntMan1 Go ahead. Just make sure you credit the audio separately, as it's not mine.

  • @Roxor128 awesome, thnx very much, thats going to save me a day and a half learning this stuff... again thank you ^_^

  • what program did you use?(doesnt say in desc)

  • May I use this to make a costumised Doctor Who intro? I'll give you credit.

  • @EGPicturesStudios Sure thing. You'll have to credit the audio separately, though, given it's not mine.

  • @Roxor128

    sure. who made the music?

  • @EGPicturesStudios

oh wait. I forgot. Its on the discription. :P

  • hi., Im planning on using this as a tiles sequence for some of my videos. Ill give you credit

  • @themccrimmon Sure, go ahead. Just remember to credit the music separately if you use the audio track, as the music isn't mine. See the description for who to credit for the audio.

  • Whizzing in Worm Tunnel of Time.

  • Looks a bit like the StarGate wormhole

  • @tokolafane Until you pointed it out, I never noticed it myself. Interesting.

  • Am I allowed to use this vortex tunnel for future episodes? I promise i'll credit you!!

  • @gallifrey64 Sure, as long as you credit the music separately, given it's not my work.

  • Excellent work!

  • can i use this? i will credit you.

  • You can use the video as long as you credit me (don't ask for the original as the file is huge), but you'll have to either remove the music or credit it separately.

  • @Roxor128

Fine, i don't want the music, but I will criedit you and send you the finished film.

  • cani use them i will put you in the credits

  • @lemonhead118 Sure. You'll have to credit the music separately, and I'd like a link when you're done.

  • @Roxor128 CHEERS MATE I WONT NEED TO CREDIT THE MUSIC I DONT THE MUSIC

  • @Roxor128 CHEERS MATE I WONT NEED THE MUSIC

  • @Roxor128 does this apply with other people?

  • @theMindRobber1 and can i edit it a bit too?

  • @theMindRobber1 I'd be surprised if anyone who uses this doesn't make some edits. Chances are that it's longer than needed for most projects, anyway.

  • @Roxor128 cool, i'll totally give you credit!

  • What program you used? and how did you make the tunnel?

  • I used POVRay, and like any other scene made with it, I just typed up a few kilobytes of scene code. This scene streamlines things by using the programming features of the language.

  • which tools did you use in premiere to create the sequence ?

  • Just the timeline and the media exporter. That's all.

  • could you send me this AVI file?

  • I don't have this in AVI format. This upload was an MPEG video file. Resolution: 512*288.

  • what kind of a program did you use?

  • POVRay for the rendering, Premiere Pro for the assembly.

  • Actually, come to think of it, all the CSG operations I'd wind up using to make the TARDIS would slow down the rendering anyway.

  • If you want extruded text, POVRay has built-in support for TrueType fonts. There's actually a text object as part of the scene description language. I suppose I could use a difference operation to make masks that go over a solid-coloured backing. The downside is that the rendering times would skyrocket whenever the TARDIS is in view.

  • Making the TARDIS follow the same path as the camera would be easy. Making it move off that path and still staying inside the tunnel, much harder. I think I may need to use a couple more splines for controlling the movement and rotation of the TARDIS. First, however, I'm going to have to make a TARDIS to go in the tunnel, and that's going to be a tedious task, not to mention I have no idea how to get text onto it without using external textures.

  • Pretty good.

  • How did you do it?

  • Just a few kilobytes of POVRay scene code. I actually used the programming capabilities of the language in these animations as both the layers of the tunnel and the path for the camera need to use the same points. POVRay may not be the easiest program to learn how to use, but it's pretty hard to forget how to use it.

  • yeah, it would be a good achivment if you do manige it, good luck

  • no its the time tunnel but this would look better if the tardis was like spinning about all over the place but i have t admit this is very good

  • I've been planning on making a TARDIS model to go in the tunnel, but I just haven't gotten around to building it. Working out a way to keep it inside the tunnel would be the tough part. Actually making the model would just be tedious.

  • Your "ribbons" are very like something I tried, nice one!

  • hi are you Eaglestriker from whomix

  • No, but I think he's put together some very good pieces. One reason why I used his reconstruction of the new theme for this tunnel.

  • your gettin better each time

  • The only major change this time around is the code to generate the tunnel's path through space. The texturing code is unchanged from v3.1.

  • That sounds like the new version of the theme... only at the same time it's a bit different.. have you tweaked it or something?

  • No tweaking the music on my part. I don't know anything about composing music.

Check the about section on this page for the composer and name of the music used. The music can be obtained from Whomix, a site with lots of Doctor Who theme remixes. If you like the remix, drop the composer a compliment.
