I think this IS the original, given that the quality of the art is higher, there have been multiple videos of this, this got a translation (but...), and the description has neither a zetta-short comment (or just a Nico Nico link).

You know, I had a look around YouTube, and after that my hunch is the same as yours. : O This animation is better, and looking at others, there's some hinting that the other videos are indeed using this one as a reference. Looking at Remi at 1.56 for example, the "U~"-phrase and that expression is an original joke in the Touhou-fandom, (it's Yukkuri-related, I think) and I've seen a few versions of this were this original joke remains. But anyway, thanks! I love doing research like this~ : D

No! No! If you're talking about the "u- u-" thing that's entirely a Remilia thing. Also, this is the original version and as far as I know it was posted on Nico Douga first. Oh, and it might be good to point out that the song is actually called "Communication Break Dancer" and not "Touhou Boss Rush". This artist has done many different videos in this art style based on Touhou using songs either in this style or from the same band, I'm not sure which.

I think both of us are having the same thoughts, but now that the anime is out, there are some people who go so far as to think that the anime is the real thing even though the word 'fan made' is plastered all over the description and the sub itself.
