Maybe it's just me, but it seems like Slim dances within the music, not just on top of the beat. What does that mean? It means he's in tune with the tone of the song. In music, outside of the tempo and rhythm of the different elements, and technical aspects of hitting those beats, there is the emotional tone of the song that can be conveyed with body posture and language. Maybe I juste relate to Slim better, but it seems he consistently nails that aspect of dance. Mad respect to both, though.

IMO? Slim took both rounds, he beatkilled hardcore both rounds. As for moving around? Hell as long as your dancing to the beat even if your still in one spot, idc thats just dope. But he did move around quite a bit, and Dino was beast too. But I agree that a tiebreaker may have settled it more clearly, cuz Dino came just as strong.

@PopnStan if you watch the vid few more times with clear, you will find that dino clearly won. each move dino makes is not excessive, whereas slim lost to dino here coz often he just pops the bits without making real "killer moves" like dino always does. That's why dino's set is always short but he always wins the battle. (Dino's move concentrates on quality rather than quantity)

Dino's hitting and popping is superb, while he is fluid and rides the song, even the vocals which is very important, he manages to hit with the right muscles at the right time.

He won because of these following things, his hits are cleaner, his foundations are much better, better energy, more impressive moves, tighter footwork and musicality... just overall a much better popper. Dig Slim's style though.

Slims had ore variation , he changed speeds more, changed angles and levels, I mean how can you say he didn't battle and was more grooving? did anyone even see his ground move at 1.24-1.28, if that isn't batling what is. Dino is good, but his whole first round he is mostly looking at the floor, he doesn't really battle slim there, and Dino's whole bit from 4.50-4.56 was just to make the double kick clear, that caught the audiences attention.,if you notice noone ever hit the hi hat in second song

from a battle perspective i think slim took it, slim focused more on his opponent, Dino doesn't ever focus on slim for eye contact, slim does through out the battle, granted they are both very different styles, Dino didnt listen to the music better or hear more either, Slim hit the scratches at 3:33 Dino does a more slow paced, but makes all the double kicks, and guitar rhythms easier for the untrained eye to notice,

I'm surprised they gave it to Dino. Both were fantastic, but Slim was popping more. He also went about 30 seconds longer than Dino first round. Granted, Slim seemed to lose steam at a couple points. But he comes back with another 80 second round while Dino goes for about 60. Not saying who goes longer = better... i'm just saying one goes strong for30 sec more than the other one who's goin equally hard. Also the off beat kill that Slim gets at 3:27 was nice, but Dino kept it real by hittin it too

Great battle! I personally favored Slim here. I felt the way he connected with the music was more unique and unpredictable. Dino's a great dancer though and I'm sure Jr had his reasons to decide it in Dino's favor.

Actually there is no more loser or winner to the Dancers at this level, they feel and perform their own stuffs on a totally different level, its all about on-the-spot performance and determination, a little bit of luck is necessary as well at sometimes, so why dont you guys just appreciate it and go to bed, we r not gonna change anything though, and I do think Dino deserve it btw

I think both dancers are dope for different reasons...for some reason Slim's energy level seemed a little low in this battle, his rounds started a little too flat, the energy he projects to the crowd. If that makes any sense. I felt Dino projected more energy, a harder hit used more....and he did a corkscrew into a cartwheel in the last round? wth? It was close, but I can see why Junior picked Dino. I felt it leaned a little in favor of Dino because of the energy. Just my opinion.
