Why did he get into politics. cos its out of the rain and the expenses are boss LOL. ps he's the worst thing to happen to the labour party in decades (and he's got a fair amount of competition with this bunch of slags
The question should be,why the FUCK did you get into politics? Because he couldn't make it as a musician, shelf stacker or postman. So he did what all losers do. He joined the civil service.
Oh for fucks sake! I knew I should have looked it up before I commented on it. Clause friggin 4,clause fuckin 28! Well now, what was I saying about fools and idiots? I might have a read up on clause 4 and then again I might count the hairs on my arm!
I was only responded to a question when I mentioned clause 4. I could explain to you why it was important, but I have a feeling that you're not going to listen to anybody reasonably.
He,like them, got where they are today by LUCK,arse kissing and a BIT of work. Reid was a good Home Secretary. So was Straw. This goverments sell by date has well expired.
He left school at 15 with no qualifications. NO FUCKING SHIT! These are the people in charge. More people want them out than want them in,that's why Browns to scared to have an election. Even that drip John Major had an election. This goverment is made up of desperate, spineless, self serving "working class" losers. I really hope they don't fuck up even more than they have, before they go.
If you're the type of person who believes in human rights for EVERYONE including criminals(and I'm not saying homos are criminal, although I find the thought of one man sticking his cock up another mans arse repugnant) then your a fool and I have no wish to carry on a debate with a misguided idiot.
When did I mention that that was what I believed?? Human Rights is a separate issue entirely!! You're the one who seems to have made the link between the working classes and criminals.
I also don't know why you insist on calling me names,at no point have I attacked you personally
I am picky on who I want to rule over me,for want of a better word. And it ain't an ex posty or shelf stacker. What has this goverment done exactly? Started a war that will last generations, precided over the biggest recession since the 30's,sold our gold at just over $200 an oz(it's currently $930 an oz) instigated the largest immigration in this countries history, created the biggest debt in this countries history and Milliband will probably start another fucking war with Iran over Iranians!
cont. - the word "meritocracy" creates an overall idea (akin to something like "democracy"). The word creates a basis for us to work towards and within and keeps society focussed on that idea - which is a noble one: the idea that a person be chosen on merit and not class or social status. I happen already to have mentioned that I go to a state grammar, like Alan Johnson actually - so no "school of talking shite" for us then!!
? Hows that? Just because YOU think your right doesn't mean you are. I'm putting my OPINION,doesn't make it right. It's easy to see you're a supporter of this goverment,"I ripped your argument...I'm right" You sound like fucking Brown. "It's my ball and nobody can play with it" If that fucker went to a party he'd be the last one to leave. OBLIVIOUS.
"Meritocracy"? What the fuck does that mean? Did you go to the same school as the Cabinet? That would be the school of "talking shite"! Or soundbites as they like to call them. What's wrong with "ability"? MERITOCRACY. You people are up your own arse. Tell me why he's a "great talent"? Apart from climbing the greasy pole, along with the likes of Kinnock,Mandelson,Smith,Haines and ginger minge Blair etc, what the fuck has he done? Do you think only the rich got to Cabinet before 1997?
I didn't say that only the rich got into Cabinet before 97, I said that Johnson is a Beacon of inspiration to people from difficult backgrounds, as is Prescott - and this has nothing to do with what they believe but shows social mobility in our society.what has he done?If I had to pick one thing that I particularly like it is his absolute conviction that Clause 4 had to go and then later on he worked on improving working conditions and pay for teachers - undoubtedly important people in society.
That's a cracker that one. Teachers? We're the most(or near the top)illiterate country in the west! Teachers? Your right, they are important,so why are they so useless? Throwing money at them didn't work. I guess your a civil servant. This goverments bought their vote, taking money off people who earn LESS to pay for pensions, wages etc. And as for Clause 4. You agree with it. Well you've got your way. I don't agree with it.
Clause IV needed changing to create the basis for New Labour - anyway that's another debate. I'm not a civil servant, I'm 18 and at my school's sixth form, so actually nobody works more closely with teachers than I do and it's one of the most difficult jobs out there and everything that can be done for teachers to improve standards should be done and the more money invested in our schools the better! You seem to hate just about ANYBODY mentioned- MPs, teachers, binmen, shelfstakers, union leaders
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
And what are you? Apart from an illiterate arsehole(it's AN Etonian twat). POWER TO THE PEOPLE! Yer? I.D. cards. Hate laws(that's a good one,so much for freedom of speech). People BANNED from entering the country(we are SO tolerant). Armed police. Immigration fucked. A new terrorism. Unemployment rising. Potential bankruptcy. Help for greedy wankers(bankers). He maybe a twat but he couldn't do any worse. You'd probably vote for a monkey if it wore a red rose. 4 legs good 2 legs bad, yer?
I haven't expressed myself clearly. What I should have said is you shouldn't write people off as useless or uneducated because they have been a postman or a builder. To be honest I will probably vote for Mr Cameron next year as to be honest I resent the fact I will have to pay for Gordon Brown's incompetence for years to come. But remember elitism is the bane of politicians as it engenders even more resentment towards the political class.

Yer,I must have misunderstood the "don't be a dick" bit. I don't mind,I've had a lot worse(I'm sure you can imagine!) To your later point,I possibly shouldn't write people off because of their profession, but I will,as is my want. I know too many postmen(and builders for that matter). What's the point of old age if it isn't experience. Now,of course, they call it prejudice,I don't care,I call it experience. I think resentment towards politicians is unavoidable, regardless of class.
I'm a clever wanker. Cunt. Him intelligent? You taking the piss? A shelf stacker,a postman and a fucking union man-THAT'S how he got up the greasy pole. Have I achieved as much as him? You fucking arsehole. I havn't stacked shelves if that's what you mean you fucking prick.
Hmm, let's just think about this. He is home secretary. I think that requires a reasonable amount of intelligence. He may have been a postman and a shelf stacker in is younger years, after having a hard upbringing, living in a council flat with his sister. But he is also an MP, a cabinet minister and a fucking union leader. Have you done these things?
Why the FUCK would I want to be a union leader,an M.P or a cabinet minister? That might impress you,but it doesn't impress me.Their in it for themselves,as been proved,if they gave a shit about wanting to help, they wouldn't climb the greasy pole.Jaquie fucking Smith was the home secretary, which goes to show any fucker can get the job."a reasonable amount of intelligence"A monkey couldn't stack shelves,it hasn't reasonable intelligence. That fuck will be out in a year, along with Kinnock and Sugar.
So, he leaves school at 15 or whenever because he didn't have the opportunity to do better- he lived in a council flat with his sister because his mum died. He can't go to university, and so earns a hard day's wage at Tesco's. Have you tried doing that? May be harder than you think. Then he wants to do better, so he joins the Post Office, wants to do better so works his way up the union trying to help other workers. He wants to do better so he becomes an MP to help his locals.
He's had a tough life. So fucking what? He's not the only one. The difference being he thinks he's good enough for P.M. I don't think that. You seem to be obsessed with what I have done or am. Mind your own fucking business, until the day what I do affects you, like said cunt! "Trying to help other workers"! Your a mug.
I am not obsessed with what you have done, in fact I don't want to have anything to do with you, but you constantly criticise others but what have you done to achieve that? Let's face it, you're a classist bigot. Oh, and a hypocrite, it's 'you're a mug'. Who's illiterate now?
That's pretty weak,a bit like the cabinet. Alan Johnson is the John Major of the Labour party. Gordon Brown presides over the biggest loss in Labour history and the MUGS(like yourself)applaud him! Their in denial,so is the ex-posty,come shelf-stacker.
Yeah I agree again. The fact that he's worked his way up into politics proves that he's in touch with the electorate and understands their needs. That's why Tony Blair wanted him for Education Secretary, because he understood what real schools were like. When asked Johnson said "but I'm only a postman" and Blair replied that that was the exact reason.
He is intelligent. He was forced to leave school at fifteen because he had to support his sister. At 11 he passed the 11+ examination which is an IQ test proving that he must have some measure of natural ability. You don't get to high positions by being unintelligent, you get there through hard work, common sense and ability. Whatever you think of his politics, you have to respect somebody who has acheived what he has! why do you have such a chip on your shoulder??
Because that fucker has a say in my life. It's not rocket science. And I have to disagree with you about getting to high positions, one gets there by arse kissing(the few exceptions,Prescott,Straw,Short etc). Ever heard Johnson criticize Brown? Ain't going to happen while Browns boss. He only got the job because everyone else has buggered off! "I have to respect...what he's achieved.."? Do I fuck! Does that go for Jordan,Beckham,Jonathon Ross etc?
What have I done? Well, you tell me what would impress you. Because that's what YOU want. Would being a millionaire impress you? A doctor? A footballer? Or maybe an egocentric politician? Oh no,they all want to save the world. Have I achieved as much as him? There was a good reason why he stacked shelves and was a postman. Any monkey could get in cabinet these days. I suppose you have the same respect for ALL previous cabinet ministers of ALL parties? Or just the ones similar to you.
Those things dont nescessarily impress me. I never said rich people impress me- I think that's you ('I know too many postmen'). I never said he had similar views to me. All I'm saying is that you are a) prejudice for no reason and b) he has done so much in his life after coming from so little, you can't write him off as an idiot. What HAVE you achieved if you're so great??
You seem to despise anyone that's not you eg binmen, builders, MPs, anyone in a union, members of Government, 'illiterate cunts'... You say 'what are you' to someone who mildly criticises Eton, but you still don't say what you have achieved?! Oh and by the way, you may want to work on YOU'RE grammar, space bar does work between commas and brackets etc. 'Illiterate cunt'.
Just to sort of join the debate...I thought Britain was supposed to be a meritocracy?? If so then I think that whether you agree with his ideas or not (which I do incidentally) then we should recognise that he represents this idea and we should be proud that social mobility exists. I have been lucky with my education going to a grammar school, but it's not a public/private school and the idea that someone can succeed on talent alone gives me faith in this country.
