I agree, but that's the point of it. Offer different options with the same basic type. Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla? Audi A4 or Acura TL? Personal preference all the way. Close competition begets innovation in the field. Thank you for the comment.
In Florida there is no law against carrying knives except ballistic at least Florida has good laws and sun and... thats about it. Oh btw love the XDM40 except the shit sights wish they had a .45 XDM.

I was thinking the same thing about asking nutnfancy to try the XDM. I was going between a glock and an XD, then I tried the XDM and I went back the next day and bought it. It fits my hand perfectly! Talk about a sweet first pistol to add to the collection, eh?

I just purchase this exact gun and purchased it over the Glock 40 cal because I thought it incorporated the best parts of a great gun plus some new features I love..and when I picked it up it felt like the best feeling gun in the world in my hands. Have you shoot yours yet and hows it on accuracy? Thanks yog
Accuracy is good. It shoots better than me while standing. I bought it in November 08 and have over 1900 rounds through it so far. I did have one failure recently, but it was not any fault of the gun. I had a bur on the casing of a PMC FMJ round that caught up on the feed ramp causing a failure to seat correctly. I like it overall. The barrel sits a bit high, and the gun is fairly ugly to look at, but it shoots very well. Thanks for the comment.
