Cool. Tilting it may limit the range of possible motion and force you to have to play with the tips of the mallets. it doesn't necessarily look like that's happening to you, but it was just what i was thinking.

I think you mean the chord in the right hand, just before 4.54? I take the black key with mallet 3 and the white one with mallet 4, that seems easier to reach for me.
I enjoyed your interpretation of this movement. I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to perform it years back and still think fondly of the piece.

The marimba is tilted. I experimented this period also with a marimba chair.
It helped me to get the keyboard more clear and have a bigger overview.
