  • and the same no shoulders? and the same floppy arms? LOL! XD

  • his lazy welfare bum brother is movin in permenantly

  • Does he got the same sort of floppy soggy arm as you do bert? haha

  • wah wah wah wah!!!!

  • this reminds of the simpsons a little

  • Ernie, for once, is the straight man. And Bart gives a Grover style slap on the back to ernie.

  • I love Ernie and Bert, they remind me of the Odd Couple

  • Oh God.

    It's Squidward and Squilliam.

    CANT UNSEE.

  • bart the alcoholic

  • Bart sounds like Bert

  • Bart "quacks" like The Penguin.

  • Bart dresses like a used-car salesman

  • that's the very same puppet dressed differently, no doubt about it.

  • We're out of Bort license plates.

  • when was this made in the 60s or 70s does anybody know?

  • @thesimpsonfan270 The 70's. In the 60's, Bert looked different.

  • @thesimpsonfan270

I believe that episode first aired in Season 6 (1974-75).

  • does he mean bart simpson or no does anybody know?

  • CTW should release a DVD with all the Ernie and Bert sketches put together.

  • @madcapromanian I agree! They have a VHS of Bert & Ernie, but they never put it on DVD fer some reason. There's also that claymation Bert & Ernie show but that doesn't have the same sophisticated humor.

  • hahah never knew bert had a bro named bart!! my name is bart.. lmfao

  • Yeah. In those ways, they couldn't be MORE different. If Bart were MY brother I'd put myself up for adoption. I don't know how Bert manages both him and Ernie.

  • Whhhhhhhhhah Whhhhhhhhah Whhhhhhhhhhah

  • so is there a brother Burt too? :)

  • I do like Bert and Ernie, but this was kind of lame. Still, I kind of liked Bart's joke: "I came here by way of Buffalo. I think next time, I'll take a train! Whaa ha ha ha!"

  • Annoying laughter must be in the family.

  • Bart laughs like Burgess Meredith (as the Penguin from BATMAN)!!

  • Priceless! Cucumbery nose, bushibush hair, and berts expression as ernie describes him! Also how bart doesn't notice ernie talking to the audience! Nobody ever notices when a character does that!!!!! So funny!!!!!!! I Love classic Sesame Street!!!!!!

  • So, THIS is the sketch that is edited into the infamous "Casino" parody.

Like this sketch (on a different note).

  • There's another one I just saw FOR THE FIRST TIME ever...

where Bert dresses up for a party and Ernie almost doesn't recognize him.

  • That skit is posted onto YouTube.

  • sounds like foozie bear

  • No surprise here since Fozzy is voiced by the same person.

  • He's like Squidward if you wanted a bigger reason to hate him.

  • lol that just makes me love him more

  • that the way to stand up for yourself bert!0:45-1:16

  • To see this clip in a new light check "Ernie and Bert Casino"...

  • lol he pokes his eye XD

I dunno why that cracked me up.

  • I like the floopy arms scenes myself LOL

  • I always wondered how Bert and Bart came from the same mother. They are nothing alike. Bart is a jerk off.

  • Y'know, Bart actually makes Bert look cool. Sheesh!!!

  • Considering Bert's laid back attitude, it's a wonder to me how he put up with Bart all those years.

  • yeah well with that experience, he can put up with Ernie pretty well (sometimes LOL) But WHY does Bert want to hang out with free spirits if they drive him nuts? LOL He should hang out with serious people who are duel and like boring things and have floopy arms like he does LOL Maybe if he was president of the National Association of W lovers long enough maybe he could have meet someone as boring as him LOL

  • Bart Simpson Is NOT Bert's Brother

  • Bart's kinda like Fozzy.

  • Why is that?

  • Well, he's kind of into joking around and talks in a similar voice tone. idk similar personality, I guess.

  • Not too hard really seeing as how Bert and Fozzy have the same voice actor: Frank Oz.

  • Yup, that's correct. ;)

  • Yep, Mr. Director now a days. LOL

  • Oh, is that right? Well that's cool.

  • It was pretty cool to see Bert's Brother Bart appear in this sketch, don't you think? And I believe this is probably the only time he is seen.

  • Bert also has a nephew called Brad, possibly Bart's son.

  • Yeah... we got that.

  • @WouterJ Brad is Barts Son it was said in one episode. :)

  • I must say hugic2112, you really do have quite a collection of Old School clips. I can't wait to see what else you have. Do you have any more stuff from 1969-1975? Just curious.

  • Thank you for a better copy.

  • Bert's brother Bart may be annoying, but at least Bert doesn't have to worry about running a casino.

  • The same no-shoulders and floppy, soggy arms. *lol* Ernie liked to comment on Bert's floppy, soggy arms in the early days.

  • Bert: Yeah we're both handsome in the same way.

  • That is true. Like Ernie said that in some ways Bert & Bart are the same, and in some ways they're kind of different.

  • I agree!finnishminnow!

  • That's great!

  • This is extremely funny because who doesn't have a weirdo or to in the family?

Heck, you yourself might be that weirdo.

  • Bert's brother Bart was an only child.

  • @DiAnno13

They are twins. Does that mean Bert's little nephew Brad belongs to Bart?

  • @sweetlife031 The DNA would be hard to tell the truth because Bart is an ass and Brad is sweet.
