@madcapromanian I agree! They have a VHS of Bert & Ernie, but they never put it on DVD fer some reason. There's also that claymation Bert & Ernie show but that doesn't have the same sophisticated humor.
Yeah. In those ways, they couldn't be MORE different. If Bart were MY brother I'd put myself up for adoption. I don't know how Bert manages both him and Ernie.
I do like Bert and Ernie, but this was kind of lame. Still, I kind of liked Bart's joke: "I came here by way of Buffalo. I think next time, I'll take a train! Whaa ha ha ha!"
Priceless! Cucumbery nose, bushibush hair, and berts expression as ernie describes him! Also how bart doesn't notice ernie talking to the audience! Nobody ever notices when a character does that!!!!! So funny!!!!!!! I Love classic Sesame Street!!!!!!
yeah well with that experience, he can put up with Ernie pretty well (sometimes LOL) But WHY does Bert want to hang out with free spirits if they drive him nuts? LOL He should hang out with serious people who are duel and like boring things and have floopy arms like he does LOL Maybe if he was president of the National Association of W lovers long enough maybe he could have meet someone as boring as him LOL
I must say hugic2112, you really do have quite a collection of Old School clips. I can't wait to see what else you have. Do you have any more stuff from 1969-1975? Just curious.
and the same no shoulders? and the same floppy arms? LOL! XD

Ernie, for once, is the straight man. And Bart gives a Grover style slap on the back to ernie.

So, THIS is the sketch that is edited into the infamous "Casino" parody.
Like this sketch (on a different note).

There's another one I just saw FOR THE FIRST TIME ever...
where Bert dresses up for a party and Ernie almost doesn't recognize him.

I always wondered how Bert and Bart came from the same mother. They are nothing alike. Bart is a jerk off.

Y'know, Bart actually makes Bert look cool. Sheesh!!!

Considering Bert's laid back attitude, it's a wonder to me how he put up with Bart all those years.

Bart Simpson Is NOT Bert's Brother
bushthetosh 2 years ago
Bart's kinda like Fozzy.
brightbite 2 years ago
Why is that?
finnishminnow 2 years ago
Well, he's kind of into joking around and talks in a similar voice tone. idk similar personality, I guess.
brightbite 2 years ago
Not too hard really seeing as how Bert and Fozzy have the same voice actor: Frank Oz.
WouterJ 2 years ago 2
Yup, that's correct. ;)

It was pretty cool to see Bert's Brother Bart appear in this sketch, don't you think? And I believe this is probably the only time he is seen.

Bert also has a nephew called Brad, possibly Bart's son.
WouterJ 2 years ago 15
Yeah... we got that.

@WouterJ Brad is Barts Son it was said in one episode. :)

Bert's brother Bart may be annoying, but at least Bert doesn't have to worry about running a casino.

The same no-shoulders and floppy, soggy arms. *lol* Ernie liked to comment on Bert's floppy, soggy arms in the early days.

Bert: Yeah we're both handsome in the same way.

That is true. Like Ernie said that in some ways Bert & Bart are the same, and in some ways they're kind of different.

Heck, you yourself might be that weirdo.

They are twins. Does that mean Bert's little nephew Brad belongs to Bart?
sweetlife031 1 year ago
@sweetlife031 The DNA would be hard to tell the truth because Bart is an ass and Brad is sweet.
