What is different with CQ56 and this, except that this has HP logo and CQ56 has COMPAQ logo. My CQ56 has ATHLON II 2.1 GHz, 3 GB DDR3, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 and Lightscribe. So actually, what is the difference in those laptops?

Does anyone with this comp get a lot of shut downs do to overheating and or go really slow and get fuzzy sound when watching movies or netflix. So far mine has been pretty bad the supper tight hinges take on so much pressure that the body of the laptop has already started to come apart. laggy. over heats quickly. battery sucks. I have wanted to throw it against a wall its made me so angry(basicly that angry german kid with the key bord)

@javidquint Man, I can heat my own apartment with this computer. Two friends of mine have the same problem. This is a total failure of, at least, this model. My girlfriend has an older HP model and it also overheats and shuts down suddenly. HP computers seam to be crap in what concerns to overheating. Because of this, the fan starts increasing the rpm rotation and computer becomes really noisy :( . Sometimes working with this computer can be really uncomfortable.

Runs Team Fortress 2, Half Life 2, Black Ops, Modern Warfare 2, Portal 2, Vindictus, Burnout Paradice, GTA IV, and even Crysis 2 (on low) so you get your monies worth. It does get a little warm when idling at times and you will want to upgrade your ram to at least 4GB but other than that it's a top notch laptop.

i was going to buy this but i did research on reliability and found hp to bae bad on reliability. so i purchased a toshiba satellit l655 with the same spec and 4gb ram aswell as a 640gb hd for $600. im glad i did the toshiba just feels like a better computer.

I have the exact same laptop, same model and features, an it is brand new. The battery, bring a six cell battery, when they should have, in my opinion, used a nine cell, lasts 2-3 hours. The HP information say 5-6hours, but I, aswell as others, think that the battery life is miniscule. Can you think of anything?

The only reason it doesn't play demanding games is the processor... try to get the model with the i3 350M processor is way faster!!
