  • I think this has some really interesting ideas for interpreting A Doll's House into modern times. Well done.

  • we're studying it at the moment, youre an idiot it is a doll'S house dick

  • You're an idiot for trying to correct someone's grammer or punctuation and not using it correctly yourself.

Here's what it should have read:

"(capitalize the first letter) We're studying it ("that" would have been a little more appropriate) at the moment. (Period instead of a comma so capitalize the next word) You're (use an apostrophe) an idiot. (period) It is 'A Doll's House.' Dick."

Please don't call people names and insult their intelligence if you're not willing to do a better job.

  • why did you change it from going to italy to getting medicine?

  • Its NOT A Doll's House, its A Doll House.

No "'s". It makes a major difference if ypu understand the play at all

  • Actually, it is with an s. Do some research if you're going to say someone is wrong.

  • Actually, it doesnt have an 's'. U do the research. Think about it, Nora & Torvald do not own anything, they are like dolls, acting at being people in a doll house. Think of Ibsen's context and what he was trying to say

  • lvin is right. Look at wikipedia, sparknotes, book covers... They all have an s. If you're going to respond with his research comment, back it up instead of pretending you're an expert on the context of a story.

  • All im gonna say is that its a common mistake to make. My Lit teachers last year informed me about the 's' thing, and im slightly more likely to believe them over Wikipedia.

  • you're teacher's wrong too. You may have misinterpreted the title when you attempted to Analyze it. A dolls house is directed towards Nora being trapped in a doll house, not both of them. I surprised how you assumed both characters are trapped because it is an obvious theme when studying this play that the central point of this play was Ibsens view on how women in that time period where oppressed, not equal, live up to societies expectations not human ...foremost I am a human being,..

  • Hmm. Perhaps the printing company my high school bought the books from made a mistake. If you look at my video of "A Doll's House," you will see in the first few seconds that it is printed with the "s". Now, this is indeed translated by Bob Dole (not really. I couldn't read the name and I'm not looking it up) so his translation could be incorrect. This is also a short story in a 10th grade Honors Lit. class and not the actual play. Also, every related video is wrong according to you.

  • is this like the asij highschool video class?\

  • i have no idea about the asij highschool video class but we're from another international school in japan, christian academy in japan.

  • ahhhhhhh caj.. i get it now

  • thanks for this, my english teacher is making us read the play.

  • How can you guys call this a Semester Project if it only took five days?

  • I meant the end of the semester project, meaning we had only a week to two weeks to do it.

  • If I'm not mistaken, the aftermath of the first World War was detrimental on the German economy. The United States were isolationists until WWII. The Great Depression in the United States occurred after the stock market crash on Black Tuesday (October 29, 1929, I believe).

Nice video (style-wise), but there are many anachronisms which detract from the quality.

  • maji dondake, koitsu?

the united states were isolationists but the did eventually join WWI. the aftermath of WWI was actually detrimental on the American economy as well as it affected US trade with the European nations and President Harding hardly acted against businesses ignoring antitrust laws. you do realize the point of the movie wasn't to describe life during the depression. its chronological accuracy is really besides the point.

  • good work guys =)

    keep it up
