It's the angle of the camera in the 2010 video. All STARS say "Heads - face" up towards the light." Had the director or the lighting engineer indicated this to her - should would have done it. She's a pro with a profound voice.
She still looks good, but not really a good idea to shift back and forth from the Shindig clip to current. Would have been better to just to find a new angle and make a new video to showcase her voice. Video actually detracts from her performance.
I’m lovin’ Donna’s new music (yeah, even with the video wardrobe). But my all-time favorite track is still “Just A Little Girl” (King-Goffin) from the Very Best Of Donna Loren. The opening chorus, when Donna’s powerful contralto just pours forth, never fails to give me the shivers. To me, it’s a glimpse of what might have been in the 60s, had she connected with the right people.
I love this version much more than the original!!!! She looks amazing but the video itself SUCKS!!!! Love to see this video remade by someone really good. And please do her hair better next time...
A simple video for sure. I agree that a few more takes and some better editing would improve this video a lot. Donna has been absent from the entertainment industry for most of the past 40 years. She still has a great set of pipes and I like her new album "Love it Away" I'm glad she is back and making a go of it. She certainly has talent and I hope she finds the right promoter and manager that will let us all see her at her best. I'm glad all these old and new videos of her are popping up.
What can you say about Donna Loren, a true icon of our times and tremendously talented lady.

I don't think the video or the re-recording of this tune was such a great idea. If anything, maybe another idea for the video would help.

Great voice! The video needs a pro director though, a new cut of it would work wonders.
