Bullet physics is THE BEST physics engine out there. And you use it!?!? Is there any pointers or anything for those (me) who are trying to integrate the bullet physics into their game?
For this 'old' version I used a Newton wrapper... IrrNewt, but it's based on Newton 1.53 and therefore outdated. Irrnewt is well written and can by used as an example to build an similar wrapper with Newton 2.25.
Done this for my new OverHeat version and this wrapper is currently growing.
However, Bullet is still my favourite physics engine.
Generally there's a basic track to follow, when they get close to an object they drive to an offset track, based on some rules they choose different offset distance and passing sides.
The 'basic track way-points' contains local road information: road width, recommended speed, corner type, hard brake, ect...
That's pretty awesome. How long was the development, and what did you make the level with?
