all the people saying this isnt a stock motor, go learn something. vr6's are notorious for being able to withstand high power, a 12v vr6 can take about 500HP till the rods say no bueno, and thats a 2.8L...the r32 not only has twice the valves, but almost another half liter of displacement, these motors can take over 600 before needing rods, albiet they do need a headspacer to lower compression

Finally a guy who post numbers---not going to knock you but if that is all those 6 cyl will push out, I'm diappointed--ol @ all the dudes saying this motor is stock-if that were so, there would be a huge splash of oil all over the camera as a rod came shooting out either the hood or the rollers, this car is running some sort of meth or 110 to keep it cool enough-as for the numbers I'll take your word for it, as this is the best VW video I've found yet-congrats. @agsxspoolinawd Bro,one DSM owner to another AND one of the 1st to own an R32 in the community, I can tell you that VR6s can handle a lot of boost on a 99.99% stock motor; it's not 100% because you need a head gasket.

500-550hp / 500+/- lb/ft is perfectly normal for a stock VR6. The real problem with that power range is the transmission, especially 4th gear. But it's an "easy" fix by beefing up the entire trans.

@agsxspoolinawd We've been doing this for 15+ years now... stock block 2.8L and the 2.9L and now 3.2L VRs running low 11s and into the 10s.... all here in NJ... where the fastest VWs come from and Englishtown is where we run!

On the flip side, look what we do with the 4G63 & how much boost we run on our stock motors = how much power we would make.

Same thing with what the EVOs and even the bloody Scoobies. :-D

Who ever your tuner is, id speak with him about your engine.... what i mean by stock internal when VW built this engine they built it for 250hp not 536hp at the wheels which is more like 600hp at the crank. They didn't expect us crazy mofos bolting a turbo onto the side of the engine. Meaning the stock internals ie camshafts, pistons etc would most probably need to be exchanged for somthing more durable.

They obviously did internals. 18 pound injectors.. that means they are running a serious lot of boost. It clearly has internals done.
