The angry guy working the merry go round is an occupy wall streeter who studied for a poetry degree, racked up $80,000 in student loans and now wants to make $200K a year operating a merry go round.
This was probably available for many years. When I was 2 or 3 (1979-80), I was looking through the Sears toy catalog and said, "I want this, and that's all!" and tore the picture out of the catalog with such violence I no longer understand. I did get it, though. When I did, I thought the Ferris wheel might be better.
@judykudz My parents probably sold the merry-go-round at a garage sale :(, but maybe if I went through the crawlspace and found it... (I don't live near my parents' house anymore.)
Thanks for sharing, my grandparents had this toy for us to play with but it didn't wind up. Our imagination was all we needed though and my cousin and I enjoyed years of enjoyment playing with it. I still have the freckled guy in the red had in my own toy box with the Fisher Price bus for friends kids that stop by. They love the retro toys :-)
Well no wonder he's angry.
