Dont know who can or cant connect, but for those having problems, I found that on server configuration page, I had to disable "Require VNC Authentication" under Incoming Viewer Connections Section. At least for version 2.0.2

If I find a work around Ill post it here....

If you're just sitting in bed or on the couch then use a local IP. It will be much slower on 3g or even broadband than just using wifi.

For those people that it's just not working. Your IP address You don't have to look it up on google. Just use the same one from your wireless card. If it doesn't work That means you don't have a Wi-Fi Router. You need one for this to work.

@milestone1963 thats not the right ip on the site given, hover your mouse over the vnc mapplication icon on the task menu, right bottem corner and it should say some 192.168.*.* .... hopefully tthis shld work ... it did for me

To guarantee that this will work behind a router you need to assign a static IP to your comp. To do this you will need the IP of your router and the two IP address for your ISPs DNS servers.

If you are using a linksys router an example config on your PC would look like:

IP: 192.168.1.2-99 (ip needs to be outside DHCP)

Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

Gateway: 192.168.1.1 (routers IP)

DNS1: (will vary based on your ISP)

DNS2: (will vary based on your ISP)

then portforward accordingly on your router.

Dear developer, i can see my desktop on my G1 very well. The only problem is Color Format, how should I set it to view better image quality. RIght now G1 is set on 64 colors (by default) and my Vista is 32bit.

You should really be using WiFi or it will be painfully slow, but can use any WiFi not just the one you Comp/Laptop is on..

That belkin thing is you loging into your router, all you need to do is to remove any firewalls blocking it mine was just the router you could have software blocking it, and there could be lots of different software blocking it I suggest you google ways to remove the firewall! or read the description and click the links
