@bhdproduction2007 yeah, it actually turned out that the e-brake assembly on both sides was failing, so the shoes were scraping the drum. The sound was being carried through the driveline and carrying through to the transmission tunnel. Pretty odd, but once I replaced the e-brakes it went away.
