You need to see the whole bit. It gets better. The humor is subtle, mocking, and sarcastic: If you were stupid, you would never realize that you were being mocked.
You know someone that does stupid shit. Start doing the same thing. Then take it to the point that it becomes annoying. The best part is, you can't get in trouble because you are doing the same stupid shit the first person was doing to begin with.

The fact that you couldn't even figure out that it was part of the joke kind of just proves that the joke was a few notches too smart for you. So, no. She's not the one that sounds idiotic. @SnakeRambo Czechoslovakia was divided into the Czech Repubilic and Slovakia, citizens of which are now called Czechs and Slovakians respectively. Prior to that, since the country comprised both ethnicities the nationality was referred to as Czechoslovakian. You would only say 'Czech' if you were referring to their ethnicity and not their nationality.
@nodira91 What if you are from Czechoslovakia? As in, that's what it was when you were born and lived there? Those people are still alive, and I'm guessing someone old enough to be a Tina Fey's personal comedy coach would definitely have been born before the country split. If America changes its name to Jar Jar Binks Land, do you stop being American?
I have never found this woman funny. I have rarely found the writing on SNL funny. As the skits drone on and on, the audience goes through Helsinki Syndrome and finally decides to fake-laugh to try to gain freedom from their captors.
I can't remember anything funny since the Bush-Gore debates. Now that was comedy.
This is a reflection of our culture and how stupid the American people have become. If you want to know the condition of any people just look at what they call entertainment. We the Sheeple of America have totally lost are way, and deserve the government we get such as a socialists president who's wife is for the first time in her adult life is proud of America. Anyone born till 1993 had either Slovakian or Czech nationality and Czechoslovakian citizenship. There were never called Czechoslovakian.
