Tom Woods is so effective because he incorporates economic theory into his policy arguments in ways the average person can understand. The comment about his dad operating a forklift: seemlessly weaved in the fact that without the capitalist savings and investment to produce that machine, workers would be exponentially less productive and command exponentially lower wages. All the union demands and government madates in the world cannot create labor-saving, productivity increasing devices.
The safety graph seems to have a sharper decline BEFORE OSHA than after.. this would be consistent with most federal program's effectiveness it dropped 15-20 in 30 years BEFORE OSHA and only 10 after, and now looks like it flat-lined. Liberals prob looked at the decline and said "hey lets ride on the coattails of their success so we can get paid and claim the credit!" great upload thanks!!
I see a union strike as that union claiming ownership of the particular business where the employees are employed. A union strike involves preventing the business-owner from changing the people he employs when the union employees refuse to work. Unions seek to manage a business that they do not own.
Unions are economic cartells. If you believe that cartells are great for the economy, you can believe the idiotic propaganda the union power structure tells us. The union bosses are parasites sucking on the worker and the company alike without doing anything useful. They've always advocated against new technology , innovation, and better organization.
@scepticsteve Agreed. They also kill productivity in the sense that they inhibit the use of positive reinforcement (promotion, raises) and negative reinforcement (termination). What kills me is the fact that public sector unions fund politicians that are willing promote their cause. Government regulation and unions has killed the american automotive industry...
@scepticsteve RE:" They've always advocated against new technology , innovation, and better organization" That's true,,, and rarely cited... great point!

It's amazing how much liberals have revised history, especially when it comes to Reagan and unions.

Those script s's that look like backwards f's actually only occur as the first s is a double s, as in Congrefs.
