You should know that these are not exactly Dune buggies altough they share simularities. These "Trucks" are all homebuilt, they are much more powerful then buggies and use nitro. Atleast they used nitro when i follow the sport back in the ´90s :)

Mostly these things are pretty basic and cheap. NOT!!! The frame it self is the cheaper par but it's still expensive. And the engine and everything is so solid it rarely has to be replaced
