aussie avett brothers fans represent! ths song is by far my favourite, such a cool song. i didnt really know about them when they came out here last year, but id kill to see them now...
I am Australian. I am one of about 7 people who know who the Avett Brothers are in Australia... I met the others at the Avett Brothers first ever performance in Aus.
Not only that, I met the Avett Brothers themselves. They were the coolest guys ever!
On that note: after their opening song (which happened to be Laundry Room) the crowd were on their feet screaming for Seth and Scott. I yelled 'Go team Qwon!' haha :D
And like that, the Avett's gave the fans something epic
@WhOStoLeGitsum I believe Scott's (banjo) wife plays fiddle with them in bigger concerts sometimes, also perhaps on the albums but they might use other musicians for that.
I love how one song can turn a whole crowd into fans. Song starts and little kids are talking, people taking pictures, people squirming in the seats...and you can watch them slowly understand what they are listening to and by the end everyone's heads are bouncing. Instant fans.

yeah like i had the diabitis before i listened to this song, and i went in to see the doctor the other day and guess what? actually i still have the diabitis but hey good song right?
It's been a few months since this show. It's rare that one can watch the moment when their life was eternally changed. Looking back, something happened during this song, and I've never been the same. Thank you boys.
Amazing! Great melody, haunting lyrics, textured vocals, true, raw & unforgettable performers, love that banjo, not to mention cello and bassist and song finishes with perhaps the best ending I've ever heard. Can't get this song out of me head....
This is exactly how I'm feeling right now. Tonight I'll burn the lyrics, cause every chorus was your name.

The cello is part of their sound and further sets them apart. Add fiddle and they'd sound like much of what is being manufactured in Nashville.
LGPGJGYGRGCG 1 year ago
If a fiddle fit their sound they would have one on stage.

As a cellist, I think it's so awesome that Joe Kwon plays with them...however, I always think a violin/fiddle would sound better. just my opinion.
