  • Hmm, this isn't nearly as awesome as the 1st movement.

  • Violin Concert nº1 in G Minor

1º mov. - Vorspiel: Allegro moderato

    2º mov. - Adagio

3º mov. - Finale: Allegro energico

    Jascha Heifetz - violin

Sir Malcolm Sargent (conductor), New Symphony Orchestra of London

    recorded: May, 14 and 16, 1962

  • Awesome, so fantastic, so sublime

  • Awesome... Perlman's still better =D

  • @DIGIMONJK better is a matter of opinion my friend =)

  • i listened to this piece with elbows propped on my desk, laptop speakers on the desk in front of me, and the vibrations my air received with those that traveled through the wood and up into my arms combined really brought shivers to my spine.

my favorite bit is from 5:03-5:06

  • the level of perfection makes me almost weep.

  • Most Beautiful!!!

  • "Jascha Heifetz has the sensitivity, the spirit, the poetry and the largeness of vision to meet the composer all the way and turn around and do as much with the audience." quoted from Howard Taubman, former music critic of The New York Times.

  • omg...

  • Simply the best player ever, a complete Master, and again a Beautiful piece of Music, you can see why this topped the classical charts for so long

  • Thanks of posting. I can't always say I like Heifetz's rendition (technically great as he was), but I like this piece - better than Perlman's anyway.

  • oh I love this.:D

it's amazing how everyone plays this piece differently.

  • This is my favorite movement of this song!

Heifetz makes me cry, I swear.

    Thanks for posting this.

  • I agree with you. This is such piece played by Heifetz

  • I agreed your opinion ---- When I was a student of conservatory. I imitated everything of perlman at that time. I told everyone perlman is God, heifetz is a hard old man. Now I understand perlman's rendition is a kind of show of America. Heifetz's music is from soul.

  • im playing this right now. . .wow i am so inspired! :DDD

  • i love this piece, especially when its played by heifetz

  • very nice :)

    Heifetz #1!

  • really lovely
