@banddir111 - They don't really have the time to rehearse and put together drum corps or mace style shows, so they have to make do with what they have. You see liars on the instruments, and unorthodox improvised instruments, because in place of stunning visuals, they go for maximum entertainment value. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing like watching the Cavaliers or the Blue Devils, but if you can't field something like that, you have to make do.
