  • I closed my legs very tightly as I watched this.

  • Great to the point examples short n sweet thanx for the Info

  • I had my membranes stripped today he said it might put me into labor within 24 hours hopefully this works!! it was painful but not horrible in case someone is curious?

  • o god im having my membranes stripped tomorrow!

  • @247blueheaven Natural doesn't work for everyone sometime being induced is required, With my 1st I had to be induced at 38 weeks because I had pre eclampsia. I was progressing fine from the induction but because I refused to get pain meds and wanted to do everything "Natural" and ended up stalling out at 3cm and ended up being a c-section. I agree natural is a good thing but sometimes it's not always best for mom or baby. I say every pregnant woman should be open a healthy baby is best.

  • DiD he said vagina in public???!!!

    he shouldnt be

  • Grrr @ C section. Money hungry OBs. Go the midwifery route! Consider a home birth!

  • I have to go through this on Monday! and my sisters friend Sai from Thailiand is now going through that with my sister by her side :) i feel sorry for her :(

  • "our doctor may insert a finger in your vagina".. -_-' how about i don't think so!

  • give birth at home without vaccine, contraception, abortion and you'll give birth healthy children

Stop being cattle, stop to feed, maintain and service the scum

  • @ThePravoslav You're deluded.

  • 54 people and counting who didn't get to see a vagina

  • they induced me with my baby boy and was really good in put somethin in my ib and i dont remenber nothin i don know and i pshed my baby out..

  • The doctor may decide and the doctor may choose....what an asshole.

The doctor decides NOTHING. Its my body and my baby and without my permission he can't do a thing.

Power maniacs. It doesn't even occur to them to ASK a woman if she's OK with it.

"The doctor may choose..." . f*** off.

  • how do i get into this stuff?

  • thx so much, good lesson for woman

  • thank you for making this video.

  • What a face on that dude behind the expensive desk, as if he's trying to hypontize a patient. Faced with him I'd be prompted to either refuse everything he offers or punch him in the face and run away.

  • Advice to all of you STOP having babies in the first place!! Especially all you horney chinese fools. The planet is way too over populated to all you dumbies with no brains screwing up the eco system with all your dumb kids.

  • @TheSickest666 what do you have agaisnt chinese people? u racist freak

  • @reneecutiefabo That isn't racist duche bag! You can't even spell.

  • @TheSickest666 you can't either! :P chinese fools? thats so messed up! if you don't like chinese people then don't talk about them ok?

  • @reneecutiefabo You know nothing about economics. In China they are so over populated, by lay they are only allowed to have 1 child. Americans are the same way but not that bad. I am an actuall smart person fyi, overpopulation is so bad that you see more and more homeless people each year. The chinese use theyre population to house cheap labor. If you want kids you should not be a stuborn bigot and adopt. I can go on for hours but you'd prolly never get the point.

  • @TheSickest666 well i understand i just don't like you talking trash about my race got that? but its still not right to call chinese people horny its very rude and uncalled for

  • @reneecutiefabo Sorry no disrespect towards asains. I only get pissed off when I see all these stupid women wanting a bunch of dumb kids. It shows a major sign of weakness in my book. Haveing babies from 50 million diffrent dicks having to watch self rightous whores waddle their fat asses across the street slowly to feed theyre fat lazy kids faces with McShit burgers and they are loud and irritateing. Sorry I am going to end my rant right their. I just have no respect for those people.

  • oxytocin is a last resort and it is rarely used. I'm training to be an ALS paramedic, and I've only heard of one case where medics had to run an oxytocin IV in the unit. (we actually stopped carrying oxytocin MediBags in our OB kits a few months ago.

  • @roberaith Im sure it is rarely used by paramedics, but its a pretty common way to induce in hospitals.

  • Why are there so many run on sentences? It makes these responses hard to read. Just saying...

  • I was a week over due when they induced me. They induced me on a Thursday and everything went so slow. My water broke on the Saturday morning and I had my baby that evening just before five o'clock. Before I got an epidural at two cm, I was in so much pain because my contractions were in my back. She was nine pounds nine ounces and hell to deliver. But it's all worth it, of course.

  • im 18 weeks pregnant with my 4th child, that moves like my other 3 children moved at 25 weeks. Baby is due November 6th 2011.

  • @mylovesofmylife good luck!

  • i'm not looking forward to this lol. i just found out yesterday that im pregnant

  • @cynvid49 Honey, don't worry about it, get educated about it. I was 19 and terrified with my first. I realized it had to come out of me one way or the other, and I wanted to find the easiest way. That, for me, was NATURAL. Read "Thank you Dr. Lamaze", it will remove all fear! You don't have to do the Lamaze method, just TRUST YOUR BODY! YOU ARE BUILT TO DELIVER YOUR BABY! Don't let medical intervention ruin it, your health or your babies!!! Watch "Born in America", and the videos on utube.

  • Respond to this video...Honey, I was terrified and 19 with my 1st. So, I got educated. I read everything I could about natural birth vs dangerous inductions, & epidurals which lead to csections most of the time. I remembered billions of women have had their babies the natural way, the way you're supposed to. I did it- 3x! It's the greatest high you will ever experience. It's not unbearable and you will feel like superwoman!Watch "Born in America" and utube natural births. Go girl!

  • @cynvid49 And now you're 3 months preggo! Hhehehe!! <3

  • @sikkmage81 yep, i'm actually 19 weeks now :) almost half way there

  • an induction can be very necessry, after 40 weeks the placenta begins to degenerate and there for not work properly.. if after 2 weeks the mother has not gone into labor naturally then an induction is done for the health of the baby... regardless of how aweful an induction is ( and i have had on and it sucks big time) it can sometimes be the only way to go into labor. look up the stats on induction not working and a c section needed, it is not as common as what this doctor is making it out to be

  • I can't believe he said "if these methods don't make you go into labor, you may have to have a c-section". The fact is, if those methods didn't work, YOU WEREN'T READY NOR WAS THE BABY, and they should have left you the f*%@ alone! If this scared you, please watch a NATURAL, HOMEBIRTH or even better, Waterbirth on you tube and you will feel MUCH better. Keep it natural people! :)

  • @247blueheaven im 42 weeks on friday. if its left any longer the Placenta starts to break down and the waters start to dry up. They babys goes into distress and it could kill us both .... i think id rather try anything i could to be honest!

  • Fuck yea

  • This is sssooo painful. I ain't gonna feel good when they insert a finger in my vagina!!! 

  • If the doctor wanted to induce your labor? Eh F*** that!

inducing labor can make the contraction more painful then it needs to be and getting an epidural(has been proven to cause back pain and scaring later on in life) can slow down labor which can cause the baby's heart rate to rise dangerously high. Overall a pregnant lady will end up having a C section.

  • @Proverbs31intraining exactly! I dont understand why doctor's feel the need to intervene when not needed.

  • @AngelicAcid453 There is method to their madness, The doctor intervene when the health of the mother and the child is at risk. I had preeclamsia. From the time i was 24 weeks, I have weekly schedule with doctor. After spending 10 days at a hospital bed with uncontrolable High Blood Pressure and unable to function home on my own, The balloon precedure was done. It was mostly invasive, but not painful.

  • @vzdan Im happy you and your baby are doing well :)

  • that baloon thing looks like a torture device lol i hope they numb u up or something b4 doing that lol =)

I thought i was going into labor at 27 weeks cuz i was having lots of contractions and it hurt like hell when they checked my cervix!

Im such a big baby lol ill probably be one of those women that scream bloody murder while giving birth...c section please! haha jk

  • if you get an epidural its a breeze! doesnt hurt. I delivered my baby vaginally with the help of epidural and there was no pain what so ever

  • lÒl_ànÿ0ÑÈ_wânNä_chât_wìth_mE_Í_fÉël_sÕ_lÓnÊlÿ_tÖDÁy┌

  • oh its not that bad! it was a piece of cake and i had cake everyday until i left the hospital whew!

  • i dont get how the doc can talk about this so easily and appear so calm i mean he sees people giving birth

  • Hi,

I was just wondering if you can send me the video because I have a class presentation. I dont know if the internet connection will work. The video is for my clinical medicine class. Would it be possible for you to get back to me.

  • This things are done only when is necessary to speed the labor... say, the woman is in labor for more then 20 hours, feeling great disconfort and pain but is not completely dilated. So they performe one of the techniques on the video so the baby can be born faster. If nothing helps, surgery.

  • Is this approved?

  • 0:59.... i dont know about this method.. looks painful :s

  • OMG fucking ouch! I'm so glad I'm going through a midwife so I can just wait till im good and ready...man fuck that...

  • @rhoz1771 i have a midwife to and she stripped my membrains at my last appointment....

  • And it's this mindset that made me choose a midwife...Doctors are too invasive.

  • Ive been induced 3 times. DONT fukn do it haha it hurts!!!

  • id love if he stood up at the end and wasnt wearing any pants

  • They use pitocin to speed up labor so the baby doesn't get distressed and poop in the womb. If that happens and the baby injests it, it can cause serious problems. I hope for natural labor and delivery without pitocin or a c-section. Most important though, is that my child is healthy.

  • The ones that say i wont be pregnant, i say that too. look at me im 7 1/2 months and is the most wonderful gift from God. Dont be such a pussy and push.

  • @TICABELLA23

    lol LMFAO

  • IM NEVER HAVIN A BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yeah, actually in hospitals they give out pitocin like it's candy.

    Hospital birth is (usually) disgusting.

Oh yeah, "If our forceful and premature attempt at extracting your baby doesn't work, we may need to strap you down and cut it out of you."

    Yeah, go fuck yourselves.

  • @KaelaCarver That bloody pitocin had contraction still one month after my son was borned . And lord help you if you are at the end of the shift they will drown you in it .

  • @misteeq64 - When my husband was born they kept upping his mom's pitocin, and she finally told the nurse, "If you touch that button one more time I'm going to break your fingers." lol She was like, "OK, I'll go talk to the doctor about it." haha

  • INDUCED LABORS CAN BE A HASTLE.IT MAY TAKES DAYS TO ACTUALLY GO INTO LABOR..I SAY JUST WAIT FOR NATURE TO DO WAT IT DOES HAHA.. I HAD AN INDUCED LABOR AND IT WENT FAST BUT IT DOESNT ALWAYS GO LIKE THAT MY DOCTOR SAID! =)

  • @GETTO1QUEEN i hope mine goes fast also, i'm pregnant with twins and unless i go early i'll be induced at 38 weeks. so i've only got 7 weeks to go. i just keep reminding myself that i'm gonna have 2 wonderful little boys at the end of it all. i cant wait lol. congratulations on your little one.

  • @tiggermad - You don't need to be induced because you're having twins. It causes more complications than going into labor naturally. Try to get out of it.

  • @KaelaCarver

cheers for the advice lol and luckily i went early without being induced, 37 and a half weeks. my twin boys were born on the 3rd Nov.. unfortunately i reached the 10 cm but the boys weren't far down enough so i had no choice but to have a caesarean. both mother and boys are doin great.

  • @tiggermad - Both of them wouldn't descend? What measures were taken to get the babies to move down before the c-section?

  • @KaelaCarver most of it is a blur now tbh. i was in labour for 19 hours and was monitored constantly. i remember the last cm dilation was taking a while so the put me on a drip(this was also done as i was very dehydrated) i was also sick 3 times during my labour. (nothing compared with my pregnancy). my twins had decided to descend together in a race to get out so they felt it was too risky to continue. they did talk about forceps (which i strongly disagree with).

  • @GETTO1QUEEN And it hurts 10 times more than without induction!

  • @BebaDK yea but there's always epidurals! =)

  • Geez, i should have seen this before i had my babies!

  • i already had one but i neva got induced i had a natural birth:) i will have many more 2 come

  • i'm sooooo scared:-(

  • Thumbs up if you take your finger and go up and down in there.

  • Thank god males don't give birth lol.

  • @AnasAlex10 if you've ever been kicked in the balls, well thats a slight feeling of how girls feel down there during labor, and its only for a few minutes, it can take HOURS till were ready to actually give birth.

  • @evian1230 that's so right.

  • What does the narrator mean by, "if your /doctor/ has decided to induce labor"?! It should be "when you and your doctor have decided". A woman should be informed of the risks and benefits of inducing labor as well as any alternative courses of action that is possible, and then allowed to make an informed decision regarding their care. OB/GYN's don't own women's bodies, despite what they and the narrator of this video seem to believe!

  • @0Della0 if you are late. there are no alternatives. waiting too long poses dangerous risks to both the mother and baby. they didnt go to medical school for the hell of it. they obviously know what theyre doing. you are looking way to deep into this video and making it out to be something its not. they dont tie you down and force you to do anything...legally you obviously need to give consent

  • having a baby is the most happy time of your life.. im only 15 but when i watch clannad after story .. it change my life..

  • Theres to many watching this that are to you and its freaking them out so they should have an age ban on this. You can tell by their childish comments. lol I have 7 children and its ALL COMMON! You will see when you grow up. Stop watching stuff like this and go watch Nickolodeon!! lol

  • I never want to have a Baby after seeing this!!!

  • @Sangrielle i agree!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @kiddygirl98 I dont agree, I mean they are to many kids watching these videos that dont understand LIFE so they get freaked out. Its LIFE maybe they need to switch from these shows to Nickolodeon! Like Blues Clues, or Max and Ruby perhaps?!

  • lol. not all pregnancy are the same or births. lol

  • @Sangrielle good 4 u

  • @Sangrielle I know it looks hard but its really not as big of a deal as some make it out to be..

  • @sugarbear394 It doesnt matter to me. I want a Cesar! No matter what!

  • @Sangrielle

    Weakling

  • umm did he just say ur doc can stuck his fingers up there? my my having babies r scary. i want kids but very scary nd it looks painful. also, im taking care of my new niece how the hell do i bath her?

  • he may insert a finger or two

  • ahhh im getting chillsss ahhh :O

  • geilööööööö

  • Your doctor may shove his finger in ur vagina xD

  • A lot of these methods involve sticking stuff up there...

  • ugh! thats it i'm never having kids!

  • Let us populate the Earth so that somebody will survive when we bombarded with TSAR.

  • this sucks...I hope my labour will be with less medical intervention as possibile.....however I am ready to go through anything so long as my 'soon to be husband' is there and supports me :) But, should the need arive for medical intervention heh guess it can't be helped either...

  • Or you could just wait!!

  • ok for a second there i thought he was gonna say, "your doctor may insert his finger into your vagina...for absolutely no reason" and i lold

  • 1:42 she is yelling because of pain or because she got horny ?

  • @mithrandyr89 i think she got horny from the doctors finger up there lol

  • @fish11001 Grow up.

  • Hahaha. Your doctor MAY insert a finger into your vagina. xD

  • Come to England, be looked after by a midwife and avoid all this rubbish!

  • @bengosdn Here we go again, England to the rescue....pfftttt. You can use a midwife in the US also, no different than England, so that means everyone can avoid going to rubbish land, England! England has got to be the most depressing country in the world, terrible weather, food and everyone has their heads so far up their rears they passed the poop and can't smell their own stink. Good day mate......

  • @jjs4you2 moron

  • @bengosdn

Ouch, brilliant comeback. English wit is astounding!

  • @jjs4you2 sorry i would thik of a better reply but i have a life my friend

  • 1st child's Neonatal diagnosis went from suspected sepsis to being changed to

TTN-Transient tachypnea of the newborn a respiratory problem seen in the newborn shortly after delivery. TTN is likely due to retained lung fluid, & common in babies born by c-section who don't have the squeezing of being pushed out or rapid vaginal deliveries, where there is less squeezing out of fluid then longer births

  • My mom was in 22 hours with me and I was her 1st baby she either had her membranes artificially ruptured with either me or one of her other babies which was not a rapid birth, and her babies were healthy, it was only because my 1st baby was a rapid birth when amnihook was used, with a thin frame, narrow pelvis then bigger women & being told to push her out really quickly. She was taken into the cold with me by staff soon atfer birth with just a thin blanket on after birth

  • Amnihook did not deliver my 1st baby, but it did assist in delivering her for after they ruptured my membranes with amnihook I had to do all the pushing to get her out. She did not come out easily. Amnihook is a medical intervention helping assist in delivering a baby, it goes against natural laboring of the ladies body by bringing on the force of more painful contractions, labor is quicker, & the urge to push is much sooner then had the membranes not been ruptured by a medical intervention..

  • 3rd baby she was the quickest of all, waters leaked at home with her, got to the hospital and she was born not long afterwards. 1st baby 1 hour 40 mins. 2nd baby he was 1 hour and 30 mins. 3rd baby she was 1 hour and 20 mins. With the 3rd baby they wanted us to go look in the car to make sure I had a prenatal booklet to enter labor and delivery while in labor I told them, Im not having another rapid ER birth and they let me into labor and delivery. I do have a thin pelvis. Im a thin person.

  • When my waters were ruptured, I was told to quickly push my 1st baby out quickly, but no matter how quickly they wanted me to push it took quite alot pushes for me to push 1st baby out, actually when I arrived at the ER my pain ratio was between 7/8 and not fully dilated they were going to send me to the big hospital then ER ruptured my membranes, I still had the same painful back pain I had with baby 2 and 3 and no quick urge to push when they ruptured the membranes. .

  • An all healthy natural childbirth, every womans dream. I wish all women were that lucky. I love seeing heathy babies delivered naturally by midwives, with no intervention during natural childbirth or free birth where the mother delivers her own healthy baby naturally and someone is standing by incase of emrgency but instead are witnessing a healthy baby born by free birth at home. I also like seeing healthy babies born due to well planned unassisted childbirth.

  • Im thinking I might be pregnant again, some signs, but we are TTC again, so Im getting on folic acid tommorow while TTC, and since I had severe anemia late in pregnancy with baby no 1. I would take iron tablets all of a next pregnancy like I did with baby no 2 and 3 where I had slightly iron levels 1 time late in pregnancy while on Iron tablets because she was a biggie girl. Iron tablets work wonders for my babies health in my pregnancies.

  • Amniotomy, or artificial rupture of membranes (AROM) is another method of strengthening contractions and speeding up the progress of labor. A small plastic rod, with a hook on one end, is inserted into the vagina and fed up the cervix. The doctor, nurse, or midwife uses the hooked end to snag the amniotic sac, and puncture it.

  • If the baby's head is still floating, AROM can cause the umbilical cord to fall down and present before the baby. This is called cord prolapse, and is a dangerous and deadly complication. The baby's head must be forcibly held away from the cord, since every compression cuts off the supply of oxygen needed by the baby. Cord prolapse is cause for an immediate emergency c-section.

  • Another possible complication of amniotomy AROM is uterine infection, which may be transferred to the baby. The amniotic membrane serves as a barrier between the child and the germs outside the uterus. Especially when the mother is being subjected to frequent vaginal exams and/or is a carrier of the Group B Strep bacteria, germs and bacteria may travel upwards into the vagina and threaten the baby.

  • There is no risk in leaving your water intact for the whole of your labor. Most often, the amniotic sac will rupture during or just prior to pushing. My waters ruptured when pushing or just prier to pushing out my youngest 2 children durign rapid births. Babies have even been born inside the sac, & there is no danger in this, since oxygen will still be received through the placenta until the cord has been cut.

  • My Waters started leaking with my 3rd, child now my 2nd girl I could have just jumped in the bath at home and she still would have been born healthy in the tub, I went to the Hospital had her without AROM in 1 hour and 20 mins & she quicker then my 1st girl born rapidly in 1 hour & 40 mins with AROM who became sick with TTN. Son was 1 hour and 30 mins 10 mins quicker then 1st girl, natural membrane ruptures cord wrapped around his neck twice during pushing stage, cord cut born healthy

  • Who ARE these people who make these videos, and why do they keep showing all the pictures of pregnant women giving birth like it's horrific-- with all of them laying down like idiots in the most UNCOMFORTABLE, FRUITLESS position for labor EVER??? This is just going to scare people! I'm totally 41 1/2 weeks and getting induced tomorrow, and frankly this is not only completely not helpful, it's depiction of pregnancy and birth are just WRONG!!!

  • LOLOLOLOL

  • "...hey lady, you're taking too long, so we're going to shove this balloon up your vagina to speed shit up."

  • AROM (Artificial Rupture Of Membranes) carries risk of infection to the baby

AROM with a hooked instument is what made my 1st born daughter sick & needing to be treated by NNU staff for suspected sepsis, IV antibiotics, heel sticks for blood testing, urine bags taped to poor baby-uncomfortable, failed IV sticks that almost ended up in a scalp IV shaved hair with risk bruises/scar/other, IM injections. Something no baby deserves to go through

  • @mylovesofmylife

ARM with a hooked instrument called amnihook does not cause infection if done with a sterile technique and if done in approprate time.

For induction of labour, different types of prostaglandins are available and they do not cause infection.

ARM is not a method of Induction of labour unless cervix is dilated enough.

Your baby must have suffered due to some other reason.

  • @farzanatasneem you are wrong do more research there is always the chance of AROM causing TTN or infection during rapid births like I had with my 1st Daughter who was born sick where I AROM and there is a risk of babies being sick due to AROM in other types of births in SOME babies NOT all. My youngest 2 babies births were quicker then my 1st, all natural membrane ruptures without AROM

  • My Daughters Diagnosis went from suspected sepsis to TTN later in her discharge notice. Also I have never tested positive for GBs with all 3 of my babies. & I never had an infection when I birthed my 1st Daughter who went from having suspected sepsis to a different diagnosis of TTN. Babies born from c-sections or rapid births with AROM or ARM as people also call it can cause TTN.

  • ARM or AROM-Artificial Rupture of Membranes is not natural childbirth ARM or AROM is a medical intervention. And when some people use medical interventions like ARM or AROM to tamper with some natural childbirths or rapid natural childbirths, there is always a chance of the baby being born sick from medical interventions hindering the natural birth process like ARM or AROM as its known as also.

  • I had no Artificial Rupture of Membranes to be used during the natural birth process of my 3rd child a 2nd girl. They were talking about ARM, while I was in labor, but never went through with it. And I would never have allowed ARM or C-Section unless it was an Emergency. She was the biggest sized baby, the quickest born baby, the healithest baby, all due to natural rapid childbirth with no ARM and no medical interventions.

  • @farzanatasneem 1st girl sick not to logn after birth had AROM with amnihook was born in a small hospital Emergency Room & never born in a labor and delivery suite, I was holding her in my bed in the ambulance a&she was looking around, we were both taken to the big hospital where I had my prenatal care and that is when they admitted her to the big Hospitals NNU as being sick. They asked me what went wrong did wiht her birth, did you birth her at home?

  • @farzanatasneem you may be a Gynaecologist, my 1st Daughter who became sick after having ARM or AROM during her rapid birth was delivered by Doctors in the ER with amnihook. But why is it when my Son with the cord wrapped around his neck twice during pushing and 2nd Daughter were delivered by midwives in labor & delivery for more rapid & more painful births, No medical inteventions like ARM, no antibiotics, no drugs or other medical interventions were used. And they were healthy?

  • farzanatasneem being a Gynaecologist, does not make you a Midwife, Midwives like to make sure natural childbirth is progressing as it should be-naturally before medical interventions are called in. Or an Obstetrician who's skills with medical intervention are needed to deliver babies when natural births are not progressing as they should.

  • @mylovesofmylife

Oh dear a gunaecologist is an obstetrician too.

The postgraduate medical training is that of an obstetrician and gynaecologist. So I am an obstetricial too.

  • @mylovesofmylife lol u talk alot other words too much just my meaning nothing else and how many children did ur wife have?

  • Comment removed

  • Im the Mother :)

  • @mylovesofmylife

Your daughter cannot be delivered by an amnihook.

Amnihook is used to rupture the memebranes. You might have reached the ER late , and your cervix must have been fully dilated with membranes bulging so your first daughter must have delivered immediately after rupturing membranes. Second and third deliveries are usually having less complications than first one in most cases

  • Labor doesn't need to be induced. Why let a Dr interfere? Convenience? If you want to end up having an emergency C-section just let the damn docs start their vicious cycle of interventions. >:(

  • @j707h

Labour is better to be induced in many cases such as prloged pregnancy when the risk of sudden death of baby in utero increases.

That's why most units induce labour at 41 weeks of gestation to deliver baby in appropiate time.

Do not spread wrong information about medical practitioners.

    We care for our patients.

  • @farzanatasneem

    B.S.

  • @j707h

    What's B.S for you ?

Induction of labour or medical interference ?

If doctors should not interfere in life processes then why should it be studied so meticulously??

We understand the physiology and then learn where to interfere to get the best outcome .

  • i DO NOT want to get pregnant!
