les907, yes we're allowed because that's exactly what it is. So called "genres" like Ambient, Chill, Downtempo, and others mentioned are only labels seeking their own identity. No matter how coined, penned, or referenced, it's House. And whether its NY, NJ, Chi, or Philly, House is the music of Underground because it's from the club; hence, the HOUSE and almost NEVER part of the mainstream. It's a never-ending movement that doesn't require visibility, because it's recognized when heard. ;)

Obviously this is all down to personal taste but a relevant take on Dee-Lite's demise nonetheless. Repetition can be eternal if the ingredients are 'right' but my argument against 'house' (rhythmically brilliant, harmonically / contrapuntally... musically tedious) is that those ingredients are elusive.
