i used the stampede xl-5 on a 3s 1500mah lipo with 20c and it is rockin fast wheelies on COMMAND! motor and battery gets a little warm, but not hot.

rustler vxl is faster and is more for racing and stampede vxl is more for bashing. I personally like the rustler better but everyone has their own opinion. The lasting time of the battery is different for each battery. The more mimih and cells there are, the more power an time you get.

stampede is more for bashing while the rustler is fore for racing or speed and it goes faster. the lipos can go from 30mins to 1 hour as far as i know
